A friend gave me his old marker because he hasn't played in 8 years and thought I might get some use out of it. The problem is I know nothing about PMI markers and I cant seem to get it to work properly. When I cock it I can get it to shoot once then I need to cock it again. I tried putting in heavier madman spyder springs but still couldn't get it working right.


I think the valve is a rat valve and when I tested it I was using compressed air and a cp regulator on it. I had the reg pressure at 425. Any help in getting it working would be great. also if you could identify it for me that would be nice.

first off that version of pmi marker is a clone of the old spyders. it need 500 or more psi to fire. first off in the photo it looks like you have a tank o-ring on the hammer. (black) the old pmi o-rings for the hammers where milk white in color the new ones are blue. you can contact ross at boss paintball products you can buy the o-ring as a single part but see if he has omi parts kits( ask if it still has a valve and cupseal in it.). a lot of the old valve and companies are gone. pmi itself is a dead child of kee so i would stock up on some spare parts.

I didn't even think about checking to. Make sure the o-rings were correct. I just assumed that whatever my friend had on it were the ones it should have on it. Thanks for letting me know

I don't think I followed what you are telling me in regards to the valve. Are you just saying that I should get a parts kit with a valve and cup seal?

The valve isn't stock in that gun. It's a Madman Rocket valve.

While the gun isn't technically a true "spyder clone", it's pretty darn close, so the guide should help. Since it's an aftermarket LP valve the 425 may very well have been too high of pressure. Try below 300 psi.
