A buddy of mine bought one about a month back, and it has outperformed every other loader in every aspect. And I dont plan on touching my other loaders for a long while.
Is it lighter than a Halo?

Lol you are either really weak and cant handle the extra pound or so on the front, or you havent used one lol. You cant really tell the difference unless your like try to pay attention to it. And plus with the adrenalin you have during the game you really dont notice it. But you dont have to put the nose on it. Which is nice.

Yea, no.
They actually love the rotors. I was *****ing their matches and on Friday morning all the pods were covered with mud and water. The balls were sticking together. No hopper was working fine. Rotors are all around better hoppers than pinokios. And especially for the same price.

Faster, easier to take apart or assemble, fewer cheaper batteries, longer batterie life, lighter, sit lower on guns, consistent. Both hoppers have their advantages however.

Pinokio Loaders are cheaper, they go for $125 new right now. Just look around for them.

That's true, the DYE rotor is probably easier to take apart, and it's tool less design is definitely a plus. The batteries are cheaper, DYE claims 50,000+ paintballs on a single set of 3 AA's. Pinokio claims that on average (not the maximum amount) you can get 80,000+ paintballs on two 9 volts (extracted from one of their youtube.com videos). Pinokio says that they have maxed their loader out at 65 cases with one pair of 9 volts.

According to the DYE Advertisement about their ROTOR, it is not lighter than the Pinokio.

Pinokio advertises their loader with the 250 nose at 15.8 ounces (empty). DYE advertises their ROTOR at 20.8 ounces (empty).

Both loaders are extremely consistent.

I think that the DYE Rotor looks better, and is a really great loader.

Personally, I think it comes down to the ROTOR and the Pinokio.

ROTOR Advantages:
Can be dropped from the top of a building and not break.
Nice design (can be debated)
Extremely fast feed rate (not like you could ever maximize it with any type of legal tournament setting)
Great battery life (50,000+ claimed)
Uses only 3 AA's
Good amount of capacity (200+)
Tool less disassembly
No popcorning
Doesn't jam unless you use really crappy paint or crappy reballs
LED stays on when the loader is activated? (Not sure about this aspect).
Who can hate windows in your hopper?

Pinokio Advantages:
Very strong shell (I haven't tried dropping one off of a roof)
Extremely fast for a semi-force feed (you probably couldn't max out the loader with any tournament legal settings)
Can be used as a gravity hopper in the case that batteries go down
Extremely good battery life (80,000 claimed on average, up to 130,000 max claimed)
Two types of capacity (250+ or 400)
No popcorning
Doesn't jam unless you use really crappy paint or crappy reballs
Has a Gangstar board out for it now
Allows use of Virtue Crown speedfeed (DYE will come out with their own for the ROTOR shortly)
LED stays on when the loader is activated
VERY water resistant

If there is any more, well, sorry I missed it. But as you can see, they're both phenomenal loaders. I just went with a Pinokio instead because DYE has enough money as is

This is not true. I have had a board fail on me and no matter how hard I'd shake, the thing just would not bake.

If you take my meaning.

Pinokio is lighter than the Vlocity, so the question if its lighter than a Halo/Rotor = obviously.

Pinokio has better battery life.

I will try the gravity fed method of feeding tonight to prove/disprove that argument for you.

Just wondering, but whats the hype about speed for? None of us are shooting 22 bps in nppl besides lasoya and the rest of us are capped at 13.33 bps anyways... id be down using a revvy if it was consistant and smaller. Speed nowadays in a hopper doesnt matter, almost all the new ones can top 30 and ya thats a little unneeded IMO.

both great loaders. I used the pinokio this week at world cup (one day with the nose cone on becuase of rain). And i never had to load and expose my paint to the rain.

except for one of my back guys that has hit 27 and can shoot 23-24 consistently so yeah i would say speed for some people is a pretty good selling price.....however you are right that no one shoots over 30

yeah also anytime any player had a problem with them they simply dumped out the paint or triggered the paint clearer and it shot fine again....yes that can be a pain but atleast it still worked and lets face it all teams had problems with their paint at some point

I guess it all comes down to preference... I think they are both good hoppers and will get the job one. I just wanted some ppl to take notice of the pinokio instead of jumping on the rotor ban wagon and jerking off to its every feature lol. But as for me, ill stick with the pinokio... considering what i saw and heard.
