Pmr poof

Aloha everyone, I have I think n 06 or 07 pmr with a ul frame and it'll shoot fine here and their but some if not most times, first couple shots are little poof poofs and then shoots hot. Has a name brand battery and I was wondering if anyone new parameters as far as dwell, fsdo, etc would be as I've tried downloading the pmr manual and hasn't gone threw. It was sitting for a year or so so I pulled the bolt n cleaned n relubed but wasn't sure if the solenoid was crapping out

Maybe up the dwell. I think standard dwell with ul frame is 26ms maybe bump it up to 28ms

Yeah, definitely make sure the dwell is 25 ms or higher. If the gun has been sitting for a while it may be the o-rings have gotten hard. I would recommend changing all the dynamic o-rings, which includes a 017 inside the front can, a 014 inside the rear can, a 015 sail o-ring, (2) 009 tail o-rings and the 007 on the tip of the tail. Use only quality black buna o-rings. Colored o-rings vary too much in size.

I do recall back in '08 when I first installed the ul frame on my pmr, that I had some shooting issues. This was due because the default dwell setting on the ul frame's electronic board is 18 I believe, whereas the stock dwell that the pmr solenoid operates with is 25 (which is what the stock board resets to). So make sure it is actually set to 25, don't just factory reset the board.

Worse case scenario, there's a rubber seat in the solenoid that can wear out and restrict flow b/c it's too indented. Higher dwell may help. If the PMR had a load ton of shots through it, it's possible.

Hello, Like others stated above check your dwell but i would also check your regulator seat. A damaged reg seat can give you crazy velocity issues.
