Rex r2 upgrades?
Hey everyone, brand new here. I just bought a Rex r2 as an upgrade from a 5 yr old tippmann 98. I really like it but was looking for upgrades. I was thinking of an on/off asa. What other upgrades would be worth while? specifically looking for help with triggers and advice on barrels. Thanks to anyone who helps. Also, isn't the r2 just a clone of the torid x?

Yep. I asked a similar question here are my suggestions:
-Scenario Dreams T-board (20$, its the Torid X/O3 board)
-REGULATOR (with my rex i was getting +-40! with the stock reg). AKA Sidewinders are phenomenal
-Bolt. Shocktech Superfly Dragun TES bolts should fit it, and they are like 10 bux if there are any left...
-Macroline Kit. I HATE STEEL HOSE
-Pressure Gauge. Get a 0-400 psi gauge and you will be able to fine tune the pressure a lot better.
-Spyder Spring Kit. It takes so tuning up to get it to work, but you can drop the operating pressure to like 250 psi. Plus they are only 7 bux on ansgear.com
thats about it. hope those helped
O, and triggers are impossible to find for it, dont waste your time

Hey thanks for the response.
Right now i'm thinkin (to start) then i'd get to the reg and other things.
-CP direct mount on/off asa
-Spyder spring kit
-macoline
About the spring kit though, how hard is it to tune? Thanks again.

Replace the stock spring with a different one, and fire several times. Tune the pressure down. Simple, but takes some adjusting. The top ups i recommend are:
1. Reg
2. T-board
3. Spring Kit
For me, i never needed on/off asas. they are useful, but ive never been upset without one. Also, barrelwise, the Evil pipe kit is a good deal, the best for a 2-piece you can get. You need a spyder-threaded one. They can be found at ansgear.com

Regulator the stock is crap, T-Board if you want to fine tune your marker, or want more fire modes (like ramp) then stock (plus it only 9.95), other then that its a nice overall marker.
