09 SLG Help

I just got my 09 SLG UL yesterday and as soon as I put a brand new, right out of the pack Duracell battery in it, It doesn't want to stay on. As soon as I turn it on, the light will turn blue then a second later, it will change to red as normal. But it will then fade off and then I cannot turn it on or off again. Unless I remove the battery but then it will do the same thing all over again. Anybody else have this problem? Keep in mind that this is a brand new straight out of the box 09 SLG UL.

Just because the battery was out of the package doesn't mean it was good. Try another FRESH pack.

someone else mentioned it before somewhere. cut a piece of cardboard and put it under the battery it might not be making a good enough connection

well I tried three different brand new batteries; energizer and duracell so I don't think it is the batteries. I'll try the cardboard suggestion. thanks

Have you tried taking it to your local store where you bought it and have them look at it?

bend the battery tabs out a bit, away from the frame towards the battery.
most likely its just a poor contact with the battery.

That was going to be my suggestion as well.

you know, I never removed the top foam piece out of the box so I didn't think about using the provided battery. That one works fine so I'm thinking I some how bought a batch of bad batteries. that sucks. thanks anyways
