Hey everyone, I was thinking about making a paintball club at MSU and thought it would be a good idea to make a post on pbnation. If you are interested and go to MSU just reply and we will workout the details. Woodsball or xball players are welcome.
We would be able to get into that league, pending we have the players interested. It does take a lot of time and effort to compete like that, but if we get enough tourney players we would definitely be able to join that league. Hope to hear from you next year! If you want to be added to the mailing list just send an email to msupaintball@hotmail.com. It is a new club this year but hopefully I can get it rolling this winter for next spring/summer and all of the 2009-2010 school year.
Registering an RSO is free, what is too expensive? If players at Michigan State want to join the NCPA I can help them but most the money would be coming from their own pockets. I figure most players would already have taken that into consideration anyways.
For at least the past year or two, maybe more, the MSU team decided not to do NCPA events for specific reasons. Also, the club is basically dead. We haven't done anything since probably last fall. Most of us just don't have the money to play all the time. If you have any questions, shoot me a email or something.

Shawn: Hey ref we need to have at least 2 players alive at the end of this game to make finals. Can you make it happen?
Ref: Yeah that's no problem.

Max'd with flag hung in under 15 seconds.
Times up on the hosting/domain for www.msupaintballclub.com and I really didn't feel like dishing out more cash to keep it up seeing as nothing was done with it.
I didn't register us as an RSO last year seeing as we were done with NCPA and wanted to play cash payout tourneys, which went to **** because lack of organization/partcipation. If you want to build it back up feel free. I'm the one with the info you'll need so email me with your questions.
Also, if you really want to play while your up here, join the MSU Paintball Team group on facebook because I usually end up sending out a message every other week to see if anyone wants to go play. I might be going out again this sunday as well.
Man I remember setting up the very, very first intercollegiate paintball championship back in 1994. We had two teams from U-Michigan and two teams from MSU in Indiana for it.
Michigan Blue took 1st, Carnegie Mellon took 2nd, Michigan Maize took 3rd, and West Virginia took 4th. MSU I think placed 7th and 10th.
I look at that NCPA website nowadays and say 'wow, look at how far it's all come'.
Michigan Paintball needs to come back, even if it's from Sparty side... till U-Michigan is back on top.
