Stock Market Game
Time to exercise your investment expertise, well we're playing on a 10-week period so keep that in mind. I'm paired up with two idiots who have no idea what they are doing and have made some very short sighted decisions some of which I've corrected. I'm a novice too which is probably quite noticeable.
Here is what we are currently invested in
100 Shares of AAPL
1600 Shares of GTU
1500 Shares of GBR
700 Shares of GEOI
100 Shares of MS
150 Shares of AVAV
100 Shares of ARO
Some of these are pending transactions within the game sometimes it takes a little while for everything to go through with the game. Also for some reason we cannot invest in securities below $5.00. If I could have I'd be doing a lot better than I am now.
So just want your opinions on these holdings and any tips, really appreciate it.

What did you "buy" The Apple shares at?

I bought them today at 11a. Not sure if with the game it goes in at 4 or at the actual time I bought it. I'm concerned what to do with GTU (Central Gold Trust) I bought at 38.5 it's at 35.1 right now. With the direction of the market I think that the value of gold isn't going up. My plan is waiting it out another day and if nothing positive comes out of it then I'm going to cut my losses.

You might want to stick with the GTU, and see if you hit a Christmas rush.

I'm thinking about it. do you really think gold has a large guarenteed loss margin? Isn't it pretty stable? |

Its crossed my mind, but it's a district wide game, so there are 600 people playing, well I believe it is actually national and there are a bunch of scholarships involved.
