Chernobyl Aftermath: The ghost town of Pripyat
I'm doing a research paper on the Chernobyl Incident, and came across this video.
http://www.videosift.com/video/Chern...sttown-Pripyat
For those of you who don't know, the Chernobyl disaster was a nuclear reactor experiment gone wrong. The technicians at the power plant doing the experiment avoided safety procedures to carry out the experiment, which led to the reactor exploding and releasing massive amounts of radioactive elements into the air. The immediate disaster was deadly, but was nothing compared to the aftermath of the incident. Cancer, liukemia, and other disease's rates increased in neighboring countries due to the wind carrying the radioactive emissions far beyond its starting point.
Video is kinda long...but it's crazy...place that use to be populated with several thousands of people has dwindled to a mere few. I thought it was interesting.

Where the people like immediately evacuated or where they all killed instantly?
Is anything happening there now or are they just going to let it sit empty forever?

Evacuated.
Just got up and left.
And it's still highly radioactive. You can't live there. It's a study zone to improve future nuclear reactors.

Was it the one where the person is riding through on their motorcycle and taking pictures? Maybe?
Lulz, I just remember brief flashes of being on the internet at 4am a few years ago and coming across that. I thought it was amazing, I want to go there one day.

the STALKER series of games are great. you get to explore reproductions of the surrounding area and the power plant itself. Chernobyl has always been a topic of interest for me.

Meh this nothing but a ghost town. If you want see some terrifying stuff look up the Japanese Unit 731 during WW2. Warning it has some graphic human experiments that went on including;
-Surgeries without anesthetics
-Patients inside pressure chambers
-Burned, Frozen, Skinned while alive
-Biological weapon testings on live subjects
-Dismembering and reattaching opposite body parts including stomachs, legs, arms
-Radiological testing
