Depends on what it is, if it's 3/(√(x+2)) then it's 3*(√(x+2))^-1 which is 3*(x+2)^-(1/2). lmk if it's something else.

So I have a AP-Chemistry test tomorrow. I would like to pass because I'm currently failing the class with a 30 or so. So ST I have a couple questions to ask.
1)When drawing Lewis structures how do you know when to double bond or place lone pairs?
2)Is there any way to the determine melting point of an element by drawing a Lewis structure?
3)How do you determine intermolecular forces? I know it has something to do with lone pairs but I'm lost beyond that.
Thanks,

does the nadph go on to the calvin cycle? and if so, ONLY during light dependent reactions?

Having trouble finding the second derivative of x^3/(x^2-4). I get through the first easily, but then it goes downhill.

Any Chem majors here today? I have an arrow pushing problem for you! What's the product here? Its a one step problem, but I just can't work it out.

Quotient rule
((x^2-4)*(3x^2)-(x^3)(2x))/((x^2-4)^2)
If you have to simplify that, sucks to be you

First citation will be (complete article name page). Subsequent citations from the same article will be (shortened, but obvious name page).

yes NADPH and ATP are what power the calvin cycle. Not sure what youre trying to ask on your second question but the calvin cycle is the light-independent reaction and the NADPH is created from the light-deprendent reactions

Well that's to get the first derivative, which I can do. My second derivative= 8x(x^4+12x-4x^2-48). What's the easiest way to factor that out.

product rule, use power rule to get deriv of the part in parentheses

i got that, but ive got multiple articles from the same guy, so would i just put (name of first article page) and then (name of second article page) and not the authors name? or still include his name?

looking for some chemistry help
The question is:
Determine the energy available from the combustion of 25g of hydrogen.

1. use a double bond if you need to complete the octect of the central atom or if you run out of electron pairs to use so you double bond to complete the octet while still keeping your same number of electrons.
2. lewis structure NO, its all about intermolecular forces covalent < polar covalent < hydrogen bonding < ionic bonds. Its all on a chart of intermolecular forces man.
3. its all about the forces that hold it togetehr whether its van der walls forces or whatever man https://chemistry.twu.edu/tutorial/I...ForcesSum.html might help.

OH + CO2 perhaps?

Combustion requires a carbon and oxygen to work I believe so you would need H2 + (some carbon with a known amount of energy given) --> H2O + CO2 I believe.

wouldnt this part need to be O2 as it cant burn without the presence of oxygen gas? I dont know, I always do combustion problems with hydrocarbons so maybe this one is different

yes sorry I assumed an CO molecule for some reason but yes it would be C(anything you want) + O2 + H2 --> CO2 + H20 + whatever other byproduct.

Okay so im pretty ****ed for my english class tomorrow morning. Turns out i need to have an individual project to present tomorrow to the class. It's a class on King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. My ideas at this point are to rewrite a story from arthurian legend and just rework it so it has a different outcome. Basically she just told us to do a project, no guidelines or anything so pretty much anything goes. Any ideas for an arthurian legend project? Thanks in advance.
