Wow.......that makes the G3 maintenance seem real simple, by comparison.

so my HPR regulator on my Fusion F8 is leaking. It is a slow leak coming out of the little pin hole on the front of the regulator (about halfway up the reg). Checked all the O-rings and internals of reg and everything is clean, lubed, and looks fine. Any ideas why there is a slow leak coming out of this hole? and on that note, is there a reason why the hole is even there? i could just seal up the hole with some epoxy or something to stop the leak but it seems to me the hole was put there for a reason. (maybe a bleed to keep pressure down in reg to protect o-rings?) anybody have any ideas???

Don't cover that hole! That is a pressure relief for the regulator. On the chance that the reg over pressurizes, that hole will relieve the excess pressure. It's a safety feature.

Replace the oring on the bottom of the piston inside the regulator and relube it. It will be the one under the shim stack. Orings wear and that's normal. Over time they may loose their seal and need to be replaced. Visual inspection is important, but that doesn't mean that the oring is still good even though it may look fine. That should take care of the leak.

Thumbs up Terrific post!

So sorry to bring up an older post, but I just have to say THANK YOU!

I am a newb to the sport and decided to jump in for a beginner-intermediate marker.
I was looking into Tippman, spyder, and fusion locally. I didn't even know where to begin, but did some research.

I would have to say that this tutorial won me over and getting the fusion. I am a tinkerer and this in-depth tut really made me comfortable with disassembling/upgrading/modifying this marker!

Thanks so much and I look forward to customizing this great little marker.
I think I'll have more fun working on this gun than being out in the field

Glad it helped you decide.
Too bad this thing keeps getting buried. It would be nice to have it stickied, but looks like the mods don't think it's worthy.

Glad you found it, hopefully others will be able to use this tutorial.

I agree, it deserves to be stickied. Lurker already told me he would allow me to work on the stickies but work has been crazy as of late and I have not been on the comp as much as I normally was.

I hear you. These tutorials take time and so does the redoing the stickies. I got the same permission from Lurker and I have tons of info and links, just got way too busy to finish it up.

Just wanted to pipe in an say thanks! Had some bolt stick on my F8 and it didn't need an oring replacement but just some lube. But you got me there, I could navigate my way through this marker just on your pictures alone. Thanks for putting in the time!
