I am considering getting a new reg for my F8, which one works the best? I have the stock reg now, and it seems a bit inconsistent, which i think is affecting my accuracy. The other day I shot my cousins etek 1 with the stock barrel, and it was alot more accurate than my F8 with the freak. Paint was the same. I also had a few barrel breaks with my gun, none with his.

aka makes the best regs but they are a bit expensive.

You may have a damaged reg seat on the F8. It was a common problem for that design. The F8 stock reg is the only reg that DP has made that is NOT compatible with their new red replacement piston / seat.

I would suggest a Hyper 2 or 3, but if you got the money and dont care about looks too much go with an aka.

I had the same problem. DP sent me like 4 new pistons and still had problems. I now use a CP shorty at -+3. Works great

Actually, you would suggest the hyper 2 or hyper 4 (cause 3 is the dye threads)

And ya, Aka makes amazing regs.

there actually is no hyper 4. i have talked to dye and they disclaimed it. the hyper 3 comes in standard or dye threads. you just have to make sure you order the right one when you do. i have a hyper 3 on my classic imp with standard threads.
