Visiting Base

I'm enlisted in the Army Reserve, and plan on vacationing in Germany in 2010. Would I be able to enter a place such as Ramstein Air Base or another nearby area using my military ID in order to shop at PX? Or would I have to find a US Army base for my ID to be good?

Nope as long as you have your ID you'll be fine on any base

Good to hear. Do I just need to drive up to the front gate and flash the ID, or is the process more involved?

Like any military base, if you don't have a DOD window sticker you will need to provide registration (or rental documents) and proof of insurance and get a temp pass.

they might search your car and question you for a few min. that's what happens when I go on a base in MI some times.
