Are the geo1 and geo2 parts compatible ? ie: will the Asa, detent covers, reg swivel, and rear bolt cap from a geo2 fit a geo1 and vise versa?

ASA's are interchangeable.

The eye covers are not interchangeable.

The Geo Propshaft will fit in to a Geo2, but it will not function correctly unless you also fit a Geo bolt. I really can't see much attraction to using the Geo Propshaft in a Geo2 as - depending on the Geo bolt used - you would be losing the advantages of the Geo2's sprung Prop core, and the ST functionality of the Geo2's bolt (that is assuming the use of a stock Geo bolt).

I've not tried swapping the reg collars, but they look like the would be interchangeable. Can't confirm that that is the case though. You wouldn't be able to use Geo2.1 collar, as that would prevent your PCV from functioning.

how often do people generally lube their geo's? im thinking about getting one.

i play race to 4 and i can shoot 5-10 cases a tournament. can i shoot an entire tournament without having to lube my gun?

and what kind of efficiency does a stock bolt kit generally get from a 68/4500 tank?

Geo's also come with the GR2 kit installed. The Geo+ just has the GST kit in addition.

Early Geos did not have the G-R2 parts, but the owners of those early Geos were able to get them as a free update.

Later Geos came with the G-R2 parts pre-installed out of the box.

In common with later Geos, the Geo+ came with the G-R2 parts pre-installed, AND it came with the Soft Touch Kit pre-installed, which was previously sold as an upgrade for the Geo.

Most Geo+s also came with the thumb adjustment screw for the lever locking feed neck.

They came in three different colour schemes.

Ok thanks. That's what I thought. Coz the the store I go to I saw them selling the brand new GEO+ at a lower price than the brand new GEO1. I asked them why and they told me the GEO+ was a lower spec gun.

Planet did sell the Geo+ at a lower price then the Geo *was originally priced*. However, at that point, the price of the stock Geo had lowered at most of the big online retailers. Rather than pricing the Geo+ back up to $1250, Planet priced it a little higher than the stock Geo was selling at that time.

That means that if there were shops that were still selling the Geo at full prices, the Geo+ would have been cheaper, and might therefore be considered deficient in some way, in order to explain why it was cheaper. The only 'downside' to the Geo+ was the limited colour selection.

No, the Geo+ uses the same frame - and hence the same trigger - as the Geo. The frame and trigger first changed with the SL91, which was carried over to the Geo2.

The Geo+ is for all intents and purposes a late model Geo (so the G-R2 update is already installed) with the Soft Touch kit pre-installed. Most also had the thumb screw adjuster for the feed neck. Some came with differently milled reg end caps, but that was probably a matter of running out of the normal ones, and using the end caps they had available (from the Ego10). Other than those changes, it's a Geo.

The Propshaft will have two rings milled in front of the bumper o-ring; the screws will have blue nyloc patches applied to the threads; the hole in the centre of the seal on the tip of the reg's piston neck will have a brass lining.

What is the difference between the stock and ST can? And is it okay to run an ST bolt in a stock can and vice versa?
