Geo 1 Solenoid leak

Hello guys,

When I air up the Geo, it leaks from the solenoid. I've taken off the frame and checked to see where it leaks. Unfortunately I can't tell precisely where it is, only that it seems to be around the back check assembly area (can't tell for sure if it's from that area or from under the solenoid housing).

I've already swapped out all the orings and the gasket, so I'm thinking it's a cracked manifold (another thing that makes me suspicious about that is the manifold looks to have some sort of defect,on the side of the back check assembly, it looks like some plastic melted there).

Is it possible that something else could be causing it?

In most cases it is a cracked manifold. Same thing happened to mine. It's an easy replacement at $30.

Updating: I did get a brand new manifold and installed it. That cleared that leak (which was a very big one might I add). However, there is now a new (relatively small) leak, where the green circle is.

What could cause that? Maybe the gasket or the 14x2 oring on the propshaft?

Just posting my solution in case anyone else has the same problem.

It seems that I damaged an oring on the pilot valve while transfering the components. I just replaced the fron oring on the pilot valve and it's now leak-free!

Glad to hear it's fixed!

Just FYI, any bad orings within the firing chamber (propshaft, bolt, can, etc.) will cause a leak down the barrel in most cases. Any time there's a leak from the solenoid it will be caused by orings or gasket that are in the solenoid.

I had a similar issue where my gun was blowing solenoid gaskets. Turns out it was a problem with too much pressure from the tank. There was a plastic piece in my gun's reg that wore out and was causing too much pressure to enter the gun. That and I had a low pressure spring in the gun caused the leak.
