Mac noid ? Ghetto Stage 4

Okay I wanna get this figured out

Steps to install Mac noid on any ion board {Me making educated guesses}

1. Remove stock solenoid and air fittings very carefully
2. Solder the power connections to the Mac noid
3. Attach fittings and hoses to Mac noid
4. Re-assemble and shoot

My main concerns would be software compatibility .......

input?

wouldnt you just have to make sure to put the right sized barb on the mac noid?

well the mac 33 noid was made specifically for lucky. That's why you cannot just call them up and buy one. So it should have the correct barb for your normal internal ion hose.

You're talking about just hooking up the mac noid to a non stage 4 board?

If so, not going to work.

I was under the impression the voltages were off in comparison with other boards to just hook it up and use it.

Are you taking about the Scenario dreams universal t board , or their ion t board?

I wonder what it would take to buy the rights to the stage 4 , cuz i mean luckys out of business right ,and its not doing them much good at the moment

What do you mean 'buy the rights' to the stage 4?

If you want a lucky board so much, PM evilballer whatever his name is, or find Sorin from Europe. He did some work on Lucky boards, including selling them after Lucky left the US, with his 'Casablanca' software, mainly for Quests, though.

Lucky S4 board simply had a plug on it, a molex white connector, for a direct plug and play of the Mac 33 series noid. SD had a few Ion Tboards with this connect, allegedly, or some people, like myself, simply had the noid soldered directly to the board.

Mac is a company that makes solenoids.

I'm using a Mac Series 43a noid for an Evil-Pimp-Based project. And Mac 33 series noids for Ion projects.

The only thing Ion specific - The rear banjo. You need one with a barb to connect to the noid and one connecting a hose to another banjo. I emailed Colin from DW, got no response. He had a ghetto looking one on his UL'ed Ion.

I'll try to find a machinist about making some identical rear banjos.

Stage 4 board = Virtue = Stock = Blackheart boards. Only difference is programming, and the few exceptions of having an extra plug for Membrane pads. The stage 4 board also happens to have a plug for DIRECT plug and play with a Mac 33 series noid (Which I believe was out before Lucky made the S4 board).

I've seen it on Tboards, including my own. I do not know for certain if it will work on all boards, but I see no reason it wouldn't. Talk to Dyetex. He soldered mine onto my Tboard about two weeks ago.

Any other questions or clarification needed?

I recall Joe (Dyetex, did soldering for me) needed to check on the polarity of the two black wires from the noid....and he talked with YDNA and Damon from Scenario Dreams.

Any other questions, drop me a PM.

50 messages a day sometimes.

I have a Hero frame of my own. And a new GCPB Milsim body that I will not use. I don't have much cash or need for your S4, as the Hero has an identical one in it.

Unless that was directed at the thread starter, and not me?? (You PM'ed me a few days ago.)
