celar 3's are sexy

and no, i got them from an elite who got given them to test. the shank is stiffer on them since the runner was a 1500'r but other then that their the same

However it's still not all better or anything. Is running on a treadmill that bad for you? Would getting better shoes help alot?

short answer, yes
yes

Got new running shoes this weekend, Nike Dart VI's. My last ones were the Dart V's, I liked them so I went with the VI's. I don't run seriously or for track, just for myself and for other sports, so these are enough for me. Hoping to get my mile time under 6:30 this summer. (Hey, I'm slow. I admit it.)

depends on you. for example my diet would make people in here cringe because of its "dirtyness" i include bacon and other high fat items into it because my metabolism is high enough that the energy levels that they provide outweighs the potential for added weight.

pasta's, sandwiches, rice, vegetables, oatmeal.
more or less try to have a complete meal. its more important that you provide you body with energy from food and nutriants in every meal. just eating protein or carbs isn't the solution. if your not meeting the old food pyramid (the one you likely learned in grade school not the new fangled 4pronged one) that's a terrific place to start.

quicker carbs are those found in fruits and vegetables (along with some other places) they are able to be quickly broken down and will often be "sweet". their unlike the carbs you find in say pasta which contain longer carbohydrate chains.

and 5k xc pr is now 15:40 from repeat's this morning

This is random but i beleive you were the one who suggested i get the Brooks Ghosts. They're working great, thanks.

I'm usually a sprinter but im gonna try and get into some distance.
PR's are
200: 23.1
400: 53
800: 2:08
I've never ran past that distance, but I'll see how it goes.

Can I have a workout plan?...I am just a runner...not on track or anything just like running. I have stopped for awhile and I put on some pounds. I just started back up last week running for 30 min everyday. I would like a workout to organize myself and have more motivation.

Track finally starts next Monday! I haven't been doing a lot of running, but I did better in keep in better shape this winter than the last. I just hope I make it to PIAA with the 4x800m team and maybe get 1-7th place in districts for the 1600m.

alright, so heres a new plan for you to do. keep me informed and it will be changed as needed

3 days a week (mwf, tths, wfs(or something similar (seperation of days is key)) run for an hour.
the other days run for 45 minutes
on your hour runs get off the treadmill and go 30 minutes out somewhere and 30 minutes back. this will allow you to set your own pace.
on the 45 minute runs do it on a treadmill at your current pace.
as for the walking cool down scratch it. start doing a slower jog for 5 or so minutes and then STRETCH.

read up on the post i recently made concerning nutrition as well. for you i would try cutting empty calories. you mentioned your in college, drink a few shots before beer or find more nutritious munchie food
(IE, toast, banana and peanut butter, chocolate ricecakes).

but ya if you want more info on why or anything lmk

I just got back from PA indoor states..
we took first in the 4x800 with splits of:
me: 1:58.10
leg 2: 1:58.xx
leg 3: 1:58.xx
anchor: 1:52.xx

our anchor is Tom Mallon US#1 with a 1:51.79
our overal time was a 7:49.01, we missed the record of 7:48.99 by .02...we were sooo pissed after we finished celebrating our win lol

the meet overall was straight up rediculous

I saw those races, very nice job.
That 800 by tom was insane. And he's only a junior, so maybe you guys will get the record next year?

I was in the first heat of the 200 and got a 22.88. I dropped 15 places from my seed, so I'm happy.

Edit: I'm from spring-ford
