Just a heads up for all those who say they will get the card and cancel it. This may have a negative effect on your credit score but do not quote me.

I signed up for the card, was approved, and the card is on it's way to me. I will let you guys know how it goes.

BTW, cancelling the card immediately will hurt your credit. Part of your credit score is your average length of accounts. If you average a day long account in with the rest of them it will bring your average down quite a bit. It would be better for your credit for you to just destroy the card and leave the account open. That will help your credit it two ways. First, it will help your credit/available credit ratio and it will bring up your average length of account over time. I have several credit card accounts that I haven't used in years. I've destroyed the cards long ago. I have amazing credit.

I am more than sure there are hidden costs with this card. They don't simply give you anything for free. You probably have yearly costs and don't realize it. There is always a catch with free stuff.

As long as there are no annual fees it shouldn't matter. Just destroy the card and never use it.

It seems kinda odd to me, you'd think if they were going to direct to you another site to apply for the card, they'd bring you to the same site that discover itself uses for card applications/

I applied for one 5 business days ago, have yet to receive a confirmation of wether or not i'm accepted or declined.

Did it say that you will be contacted regarding your card? That usually means you have been declined and will receive a letter saying you were declined.
