Im 19, 20 in december. And yes, the OC told me that. The other coaches we oblivious to the situation because Im not the *****ing type. Looking back, that would have helped to talk with them.

Junior year. One coach, the headcoach was basically kept in the dark and he just though I wasnt allowed to play and thats why I was sitting, also made the D1 comment. The OC was the one who told me I didnt have the toughness/etc to play. I promise, I dont make this up for my healthy or ego.

I had no idea I was older than you, granted only by a month, but I always assumed you were 1-2 years older than me. On the subject of highschool sports I've had a bunch of people telling me that I: A)Should never have quit baseball; and B)Played football. Unfortunately, at the time I was more concerned with getting drunk and getting laid.

so ive been lifting heavy 3 times a week with 5x5's for almost 2 months now. I'm 16 years old,started at 120 pounds now im at 128. 2 weeks ago I was at 128 so it seems that I've plateaued. Should I change something up or just keep working hard?
I take Mass XXX from gnc twice a day(50g protein)
Tuesdays:Triceps,calves,chest
Thursdays:Biceps,Back,abs(upper/lower)
Saturdays:Quad/Glutes, Shoulders,obliques

8 pounds is actually a huge gain, even in two months. Whats your diet look like? How many calories are you taking in in a day?

8 Pounds in 2 months is only a "huge" gain if he didn't gain any fat. Its definitely a decent start, but at 120 pounds I would be eating as much healthy **** as I possibly could EVERY day. It sounds like you aren't eating enough, so force feed yourself if you have to, but gains will stall or slow greatly if you don't have your nutrition in order.

morning(6:30am)-2 packets of oatmeal with peanut butter on toast or raisin bran with 3 boiled eggs
9am-protein bar since im at school and can't really eat a meal until lunch
11:30-protein shake on non workout days,otherwise nothing
lunch(1pm)-usually whatever is in the plate lunch line vegetables and everything
2:45-usually a ham cheese and tomato sandwich with an orange
5pm:on workout days,protein shake after workout
7pm:chicken of some sort or salmon/tuna,sometimes steak with pasta,tonight had turkey meat loaf
9:30pm:protein shake everyday then bed

calorie wise, how many are you taking in. you probably are not eating enough. assuming you have a very fast matabolism.

yeah I do have a fast metabolism,its always been tough for me to put on weight
I take in about 4500-5000 calories a day,and I don't do cardio

Something sounds fishy here. If you are a D1 caliber player I highly doubt your head coach would be "in the dark" about a matter that involved you never playing again.

i honestly couldnt tell you how much per meal,4500-5000 was a rough estimation considering the shake i drink twice a day is 1,000 calories per serving
and the protein bar is 650 or 700 that put on top of a regular diet of 2,000 calories a day gave me my estimate

Youd didnt hear the story, weve talked about it in other threads. D1, if I was 6 inches taller with the same build.

When I was hurt, I broke 3 ribs and bruised the ones around it because of a helmet straight to the ribs. My lung went to 10% capacity, almost collapsed. When a coach hears broken ribs, lung almost collapsed, he thinks youll be out for a while.

What protein bar? The most ive seen in one was about 300-400 calories.

I still dont think your taking in nearly as much as you think. Might want to actually figure it out and youd be suprised at what number actually comes up. Yes those 1000 calorie shakes help too, but you might want to get some more whole food into your diet.

For a snack at school take a grilled chicken breast and just eat it, chicken cold is generally pretty decent. Dont forget eating a ton of veggies too.
