that's the barrel threading on an Ion which first appeared on Impulse markers, as opposed to the different threading used on the SFT shockers. The NXT Shockers also have Ion/Impulse threading

Wow, this is confusing to even me! Let me try to simplify it.

Each paintball marker has a barrel, you know that. You should know that barrels screw into the marker by threads. Different paintball markers have different threads, and you need a barrel of the same threading, or else it will not screw into the marker.

The ion uses "impulse" threaded barrels, commonly refered to as ion threads.

I meant you all talking about feedneck threads even confused me. I'm sure he was talking about barrels.

Perhaps the threadstarter was asking the actual threading, meaning size (Not the 'label' of 'Imp.' threaded.) To make a part or rethread a feedneck to fit.

Perhaps not likely, but still possible.

Anyone can find a feedneck they love, ask a machinist (We have some on here) if he can make it for an Ion, and the machinist will need the threading size.

I was going to have some rethreaded for FEP Quests, only about $15 each. Never did it though, got lost in all my other projects.

Bull****. You can rethread things easily, with the means and knowledge to do so.
