paintballing while in the military

ok so i joined the navy back in june and was wondering if i would ever have time to play again like after basic once i get everything worked out and get stationed somewhere...this would really help me decide if i should sell my gear before i go while it still has value as in 6yrs it will be way outdated

if anyone could help me that would be great

thanks
jake

A lot of it depends on where your stationed and whats in the area. So far Ive been to Japan, Florida and MD/VA and Ive played at all of them. When you get orders you should get a sponser. It will be someone at the command that is there to assist you in your PCS. You will be able to ask questions and you should be able to find out if there is a field on base or near by. As far as storing your gear Ive never had an issue, on my first ship we took our gear on our cruise so we could play in different countries. Granted we had to research a lot of laws and all but for the most part somthing like that will be up to your command.

You should have plenty of opperturnity to play, I know several bases have thier own fields thanks to MWR. Good luck, and just to clear things up you just enlisted?

where are you stationed? one of my friends is in CN and there is a paintball field on base. i think it really depends on what is in your area and how you manage your free time

Theres no time to play during the week, but the weekend, if i wanted to blow 60 a day, i could play friday, sat, sun. We have some fields here on base. But we cant keep out **** in the dorm, we have to have it at the field in a locker which is $5/month. But we're the AF so i dont know how our free time competes with yours.

I'm in the Marines... but in almost every job in every branch, you'll have your weekends free to do whatever you want (kind of like a regular job).

I was able to play on a Division 2 team for a few months (and two tournaments)... so you shouldn't have any problems playing paintball on the weekends.

OP, it depends on what your doing. No one here even bothered to ask your rate. Im a navET on a trident submarine. I play everyweekend and played a few tourneys since enlisting, but thats because ive been on off crew(our other crew has our boat. When they get back we get to go out for 3 months and i wont be able to ball. dont forget about going out to sea. Unless you got lucky somehow and score the PS rate.
