In regards to the original question, as to if the GC stock bolt is the same as an L7, here is what I have noticed.

I use a GC body and have an L7 bolt which I use in it. One of the most immediate differences I noticed between the bolts was the GC bolt weighs more. Also, the L7 has a much smoother finish and moves smoother than the GC bolt.

The only thing is that the green 'firing insert' piece on the stage 5. I'm hoping that it will just work as it is.

I know Tech T sells a $20 piece on their website to make the L7 work on the Stage 5. This replaces the green piece, I assume.

The stage 5 has a built it, non-removable firing can.
Explain to me, just for the fact that your wrong, that some came with a can, some didnt, and they work both ways.

So less kick, eh? I like that. The one thing im seeming to notice is that i am going through air like candy w/ this GC PB bolt....i havent had a chance to actually go play with it, but when i do i will see how it does compared to the amount of paint i go through. But just tunning it and fooling around w/ 300 paintballs and a large hornets nest in my yard, it seems like it hogs air

Both of mine have a green 'bolt holder'. The 5.1 has something similar and a firing can, which is a larger (near double the length) piece.

The 5.0 has this piece built in, as part of the milling. the one from the 5.1 won't fit into the 5.0 body.

Where is this wrong?

Ynda did do a study of the flow dynamics of the HP, or was it Colin...

I was impressed with the data, so I ended up buying both. Very little differences, but I'm partial to the HP bolt myself. Definately different.

the green can in an stage 5 (not 5.1) is merely a bolt-stop that was made to take up more room in the chamber(made almost no difference)
