Well the $90 Oakley Wisdoms I bought on ebay blow hard. Too much padding around the nose and I don't have a big nose, constricts it. The peripheral vision is horrible, really bad. I tried my Scotts on from 1999 and had SO much more field of vision its not even funny. Should have tried them on before hand and thats my fault, but didn't know they'd be this bad.

Decided to go with the Anons and I can't believe how much cheaper their replacement lenses are (compared to the wisdoms). I decided to go with the Red Solex lenses on the Realm gogs, maybe I'll order something for flatter light conditions.

Back from skiing. I trained all weekend to teach little kids, it should be fun this season. I think I start x-mas week. I also think I'm doing a chairlift evacuation next weekend, which should be fun.

In other news, I can finally do a beginner box. Woot.

Every time I watch a Warren Miller film, it reminds me of how dumb I was when I turned down admission at Boulder, and I've been watching a lot of his films.

Saw his film this year and got 5 lift tickets. By tommorow we'll have 2 of the 5 mountains down. Making a 6 hour drive from Mass to Maine, leaving tonight at 10 and driving until 4am, sleep a couple hours, ride all day, drive back ftw.

i missed it once again this year. Sorta mad, because they always have awesome giveaways. Good news is that I may be going on a bus trip up to stratton this sunday. It's only $50 for a ticket and ride, can't beat that.

What are you skiing? Sunday River or Sugarloaf? Those are the only two worthwhile places to ski in Maine. Where in MA are you?

I was never into Warren Miller films. The filming and skiing is incredible, although I don't like watching back country all that much.

My favorite ski movie by far is War! by PBP

My cousin has a part in it too.

kind of in a dilemma right now

my ski coach says i ski like yao ming, i dont get low enough

problems:
i am already flexing forward in my boot to the point of feels liking im breaking all the bones in my upper foot

i have a softer flex setting on my boot but i see that as the ***** way out and it would give me less control

in low speed drills i cannot get low at all, but in higher speed carving i can get lower due to the weight of gravity pulling me down(still keeping forward, but my shins get pulled down more at a faster speed)

i can def get lower by dropping my butt and sitting down but that is
BAD and right now im trying to drive my hips forward and over my bent knees

if i loosten my top 2 straps, i cant get any more forward angle, just easier to get in the back seat and less control

my boot has a flex of like 90? could it be too much for me? ive read that good/bad skiing determines what flex you should ski at, ive read that weight doesnt matter. im 6 foot 150 so im a little on the skinny side so im wondering if i had more strength i could flex more

any solutions for my forward flex problem?

my coach says i can get some stuff in my boot removed that will make it flex more but i dont want to go drastic

Is anyone going to Wisp this weekend? It only costs $7 for all day lift pass on Sunday and Monday. I do not know how much rentals cost.
