Nothing was posted yet if this was reball or regular paint. Let's hope someone puts a indoor field here.

It will be paintball. The ones that break and get paint on you when you get hit.

i would love to have an indoor field near by in the winter..as well as a good store. I think a full x-ball field would be awesome but even if it was a good set up for 3 man it would still be great.

Well just my 2-cents, it's gonna be hard to cater to everyone, all you can do is try. If there is a way where you can have the 2-fields for open play, and then combine the 2 fields and schedule team practice days where x-ball and nppl players can utilize a full field would possibly work. I'm not sure how your field will be set up or if this will be possible but it may work.

One thing I see at some fields is slow play, learn how to turn games fast to keep people moving.
Offer competitve tournaments for good prices with good prizes. This in my eyes is the hardest thing to do. You will put in alot of hours and the pay probaly won't cover that, but if you get good reviews teams will come back and spread the word, which will bring more teams to your place spending money on other things you may have to offer.

Also paintball is expensive, tournament players look for the best deals it's just the nature of the beast. So if you have good paint prices (and able to run team specials) this will help.
I also feel you should be careful on havieng a ton of high priced items in stock (guns ect) most players purchase off the net (another nature of the beast thing) but keep the low priced stuff people can get quick and for competitive prices such as barrells, asa's,swabs, barrell condoms, pods, all these little things that a player who may have an extra 10-20 bucks will purchase while at the field. Better to get someone to spend a little money then no money!
If your interested in getting into the highend markers for tournament players I would suggest mabey doing something like TRADEMYGUN.COM does. They seem to do good!

The one thing Iowa lacks is a good indoor paintball facility! IF set up and run good you should have no problem making a go of it. Mabey check out chicago land paintball for ideas.
All I know is my team will support you anyway we can.
GOOD LUCK!

It would be a sweet time. Usually sunday is like tourney players day to shine almost like going to church. Rec play would be sweet too and full xball might be hard because of size but some 3man field would keep things intresting and going. but it'd even be nice during rainy days or when im lazy and don't want to drive as far to play outside

Would love to have it...but the real question is can you afford it and run a field out of it...

I'm guessing there is a couple of locations downtown that was flooded out that are prob zoned correctly. Would be interesting to see.

the paint price should be atleast $50 or lower, & hopefully i'm not the only one who has played at an indoor field but playing when its STILL cold in an indoor really ain't that fun. plus would we be playing on dirt, or turf? NOTE: heated indoor, B.Y.O.P. pay field $15-20 fee to play all day, & turf to play on would bring alot of players from all over the place.

just a fyi, badlands closed there indoor as it wasn't making money. The one indoor open in Chicago still Chicagoland, isn't exactly a gold mine. Its currently for sale last I heard...

I'd love to see a indoor place in CR, but I don't think its going to produce a profit....

Just my 2 cents

1. A 3 on 3 field is not attractive enough (teams will not be interested)

2. A store is not needed (Players will not pay retail)

3. Players expectations are too high, (cost vs. profit) is not worth it

Sorry to be the snake in the garden, but I would have already rolled with this if there were any promise of a making a damn good living at it

Otherwise, why do it???

If paintball was all about the money, I don't think anyone would be playing. Most people play for the fun of it. As for the field owner, I think he or she knows they won't make a killing on it but make enough to keep the doors open and give us players another great place to play at during off the off season.

Let's hope this indoor field happens....
