Bring Trigger Frame to School
ok so we had a project in health where we had to bring in something that is valuable to you. I asked if I could bring in my paintball MARKER Yes i said marker so she wouldn't be like "ZOMG GUN" so I asked and she said, no its a weapon. She said I could bring in a part of it so I said ok. I bring in the trigger frame the next day. Im at lunch, and set it on the table so the Eye wires don't get pinched, and they tell us to go get our school ID cards. So, while im doing that the campus cop comes over holding my backpack, and the trigger frame and tells me to follow him. I end up emptying my backpack, and the principal takes my trigger frame and the cop is telling me how I could go to jail, and that its a weapon. Luckily I get off with nothing, and I just get the frame after school. Its such bull**** though.

First off a paintball marker is not a weapon unless used in such a manner, for any OBJECT that has been created on this earth can be used as a weapon if used in such a manner.
Second you brought your frame to school. Uh and they are considering sending you to jail for that? Put them on the phone with me.....

I laughed when the cop told me I could go to jail, and he just looked at me in a mad way. I don't see how a trigger, and 2 pieces of rubber is a weapon.

Lol they can't send you to jail for that. Cops that work in schools are full of **** and just say stuff to try to scare kids.

Health project? Bringing in something valuable? What is this, kindergarten show and tell? Lmao jk. Thats bull though. The only way a paintball gun could be considered a weapon is if u use it as a club, in which case I can think of a million other objects that would serve as better bludgeoning weapons.

I am a Security Specialist at a school in Va. and I can tell you that you would have been suspened and possilby expelled for bringing that to school. Your only saving grace would have been if the teacher admitted that they gave you permission.
I know it sounds dumb and excessive but we have a "no tolerance policy" and I'd bet your school does too. A no tolerance policy means just that and does not leave anything up to interpretation. If they didn't enforce it strictly who would draw the line about what is acceptable.
Wouldn't you rather go to a school that is as safe as possible? Think about it in those terms and it may be a little easier to understand the school's side of things.
All that said, I'm glad you didn't get in trouble. Good luck with school and paintball.

ask them to show you how the trigger frame is a weapon. then tell them to shut the **** up.
ANYTHING can be a weapon if youre creative. the books, pens and backpacks you take to school could be used as a weapon.

Your fists are weapons too, but they don't suspend you for bringing those to school, now do they?
The only way an empty trigger frame can be used as a weapon is if it's used as a blunt object. That wouldn't work too well given its size and weight.

They do... A friend of mine has a Pink Hello Kitty AR-15. A gun is a gun is a gun. Call it whatever you want a paintball marker is a GUN. Look up GUN in the dictionary.

Exactly.. To people who don't know about paintball it'll look like you're bringing a pistol to school. Not a smart move.
If you really wanted to bring something paintball related to your "show and tell" you should've brought your mask or hopper or something.

I'm glad I went to school before all of these dumb laws. When I was in school all of the guys (and a lot of the girls) had their pocket knives with them and people weren't scared to bring a gun to the parking lot and sell it to someone else after school. I don't ever like being anywhere where they won't let you defend yourself if need be. School shootings happen so often because they are such easy pickings. Where else can someone find hundreds of unarmed victims to unleash their neurotic rage on? The second amendment wasn't made for hunters, rather it is summed up pretty good in these quotes by Thomas Jefferson himself: "Laws that forbid the carrying of arms..disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one.", "The beauty of the second amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.", and "The constitutions of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed"
That being said, I wouldn't mind the students having to be unarmed, but the faculty should not only be allowed to, but a certain percentage of faculty should have to be armed. /rant
