Best Chinese Takeout Experiences?

The greatest chinese take out ive ever had was at this place with a really generic name like China House or something. They have some great chinese takeout though. I got "Hot Braised Fish". It was really high quality stuff too. It was real cuts of fish and there were no bones or anything. Its like $5.00 with fried rice.

Post some of your takeout experiences.

I went to a traditional Chinese restaurant in a Chinese area and ate fish stomach soup, fried pigeon, and chicken neck.

This is going to make me hungry for some chinese takeout, but here I go.

We were at a football camp that we go to every summer, about 5-6 of us hadn't eaten all day (worst decision EVER) and we saw an ad for a chinese takeout place in the dorms we were staying in.

Ordered 3 orders of General Tsao's, 2 Beef Lo-meins, and like 7 orders of crab Rangoon. Cost like $60, but I tell you, it hit the ****ing spot. We continued to order from the same place for the next 3 nights, and each night was not a disappointment.

Now I'm going to get some chinese takeout tomorrow, haha.

I worked at a few Chinese take out places... Spend your money elsewhere. They are all so dirty and unsanitary. The chowmein always sits out all day in bus pans and microwaved just before serving, same with fried rice.

Chinese food is not worth spending money on, its not even that great

The place I get my chinese food you can see from the front counter to the back door of the kitchen and everything in between. Although sometimes I wonder about what is in that walk-in....

If that is true in your area, then it's probably also true of the non-chinese restuarants around you.

Chinese food makes me wonder how the heck American "food & grills" "pubs" and other restuarants get off selling their dishes for $12-$30.... Seafood restuarant that charge around 30-100 bucks for lobster. Chinatown gives you 2 lobsters for $10. And its the same lobster you get everywhere else.

Believe me, I've been in the business for a long time
