Our hardware is colocated, we have a 2 hour SLA with our hosting provider. In the event of any hardware failure, they have 2 hours to have new hardware in place before we start accruing credits. Pretty standard stuff for colocated hardware.

not sure what you used to do before here, but have you ever seen a HALON fire system in a server room?....I got to witness one of our main Headends fire supression system....the fire doors close and then it sucks the o2 from the room....

This isn't a gaming rig, the requirements are different for servers, and you take what your colo provider has

SSD is still EXTREMELY expensive, and not well suited for servers unless you're using something like a RamSan-400, which are mindblowingly expensive.

I've been in rooms with Halon systems before, but nobody uses Halon anymore. They've all switched to dry suppression systems, since Halon is fatal to humans..

yeah but so is being in a sealed room and having all the air sucked out?

I mean wouldn't you have to be in the contained server environment to be affected by the Halon.......and if you were in the same environment using a dry system......

You're misunderstanding what these fire suppression systems do. Halon works by displacing the Oxygen in the datacenter so fire has nothing to feed off of. It was banned back in the 80s because it depletes the Ozone. You can still maintain a system if you have it, but they no longer use it in new datacenters.

Nowadays they use good old fashioned water in a dry pipe system, or FM-200 waterless suppression systems, which are not toxic to humans, or computer hardware.
