Official "Best Mask for People Who Wear Glasses" thread?

Ok, since I've posted this same answer three times in the past three weeks, I decided to try to get an official thread for this.

First things first. There is no 'best' mask that will work for every person the same. We all have different shaped heads and faces, and probably different shaped glasses. Since all pro level masks out today have similar thermal capabilities, the main difference is in style, color, and price. Since those are personal preferences, these threads usually go into "This Mask VS. This Mask" pretty quickly, and usually someone will recommend I wear contacts.

None of that here. Just facts and info.

Background: I wear a ProFlex now - I wore Profilers and a I3 in '07 and Flexs pre-'07 with my glasses - My glasses aren't huge like that Erkle kid, they have flexible frames with plastic lens so they don't break - I got them to wear while playing sports.

So, here's my secret formula:

Only two things really matter when it comes to wearing glasses under a paintball mask:

1 - Does the mask fit my face and over my glasses comfortably?
2 - Does the mask have the option to add a fan ('cause your glasses will eventually fog.)
3 - refer to #1 & #2

That's it! Find a mask that fits you. Don't ask me 'cause I don't know!

Play Hard! Play Safe!

-D

**NOTE**
If (when) you have problems with your glasses fogging up, try FogTech solution on them.

I personally haven't found one - I use 'Cat Crap' right now - it works for a while then has to be reapplied - I put it on every time I play, it's part of my 'getting ready' process, but in some cases I still have to use a fan - usually towards the end of the day when I'm all sweaty, or playing in the woods with no breeze and high humidity

When it comes to anti fog solution try Fog Tech by MotoSolutions, after realizing how good it is with paintball I even use it on equipment at work. It's a little pricey but considering the number of solutions i've used in the past in total i've spend two or three times as much money on items that didn't work. The one major plus about FogTech is that it's a liquid, so there is no rubbing a gel in and buffing it off. Even on really nasty days reapplying is really quick which is a plus because most days I play only have a 5 minute break between games..

I have used the flex for over 10 years with my glasses. Wear a headband, it will help. Next best is the profiler. Both fit well over glasses. I have a huge melon so I know this topic well.

I have what would some would consider a "basketball" shaped head.... it's pretty round and the glasses similar to these ,
but with smaller lenses and have worn Dye I3s, Events and now a Grill with them. I personally like the grill the most, followed by the events and the dye I3s. The events have a little more room around the eyes, but the lack of ventalation causes my face get warmer quick and my glasses fog more than they are now with the better ventalated grill. The I3s weren't bad, just not my cup of tea, and my glasses would feel like they were being pushed against my face.

I also use 'Cat Crap' and found it works pretty good, just have to reapply every so often

I have Oakley sport frames and I find very few problems with Grillz. VForce, IMO, is the way to go with glasses.

OA! ROTFLMFAO!!!!

I knew you had a well rounded mellon right from the start. J/K

I'm an advocate of fans.

Have them on my grillz, and JT. The little computer fans are the shiznit and quite small too.

Evercool 17 x 17 x 8mm EC1708M05E 2 - 14.95 ea.
(0.67 x 0.67 x 0.31 inch)
DC 5V Fan

A five volt clip for the battery, and a toggle switch and consider the fogging GONE!!!!

I too wear glasses, but my mellon is shaped like a canned ham. LOL
