Not 2 weeks after I gave my troop an LOC I had to give her an LOR... Ugh.
She got into a pretty minor motorcycle accident, failed to inform me about it, showed up to work the next day saying her back hurt (but still never told me.. I had to hear about it from some other Airman..) She then proceeds to go to a job at AMC/PA (our Boss) and complain to them.. I get a call from the chief over there basically asking what the **** we were thinking making her come into work after having an accident and a potential back injury..
...How can you be a SrA who's been in for 4+ years and not understand hat the first person you call anytime is your supervisor?
Re-read the above. You are asking about Guard STS's and I am telling you how it is to my knowledge. I am not aware of any non-prior 1C2's being in either unit, but I am aware of several individuals that they turned out.
thanks.

24 more days until I ship out for BMT.. so excited.
Just wondering what are some of your suggestions for what to take. My recruiter says he likes to tell you to take the bare minimum, an idea I like, but just wanted to get some opinions on his list and any other suggestions.
- 2-3 changes of clothes (including socks, underwear, etc)
- Cheap flip flops (shower shoes)
- Hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, deodorant, etc) (all travel size of 3oz or less b/c we'll be flying)
- Drivers license
- SSC
- Glasses
- Promissary Note (special addition to my list since I'm going with the student loan repayment program)
- Cell phone and charger
Sounds about right. Remember bring clothes with no logos. or anything that stands out. Don't shave your head but dont go in with ridiculously long hair either. Shave. I can't remember if you have to wear pants for civies or if shorts are OK.. but if you can, wear shorts.. it's hot as balls there in June.
In other news: check out this video of the app I helped with. It's an AF sponsored app designed from the ground up at the squadron level.. So it's not some BS command message thing.

Yeah he mentioned most of that too... thanks for the advice!

Double check about the cell phone. The last I knew, you won't be able to use it during BMT. I think they'll just lock it up for you, but it might be easier to have someone who is coming to your graduation bring it with them.
