I noticed the topic on red filled paintballs which i think are a bad idea IMO but thats off topic. One time i was playing, and i was shot out, and i had my hands in the air, and this jacka$$ kept shooting me and shot my in my finger, and arm, it hurt like hell, i chewed him out and left the filed. When i was cleaning my self up now i noticed blood mixed with white paint on my hand (looked like a strawberry swirl yum). The reason im bringing this up is, say if the paint were red, i would not have noticed the wound, and would not have tended to it properly, possibly causing an infection of some sort.

I really think red filled paintballs are a bad idea. There will be ZERO problems by not making them, compared to a hundred problems making them. I think paintball is fine with white paint or orange bright. But on topic, have u ever bled?

i doubt it woulda gotten infected....but ok. yea i snapped out and caught one on the knuckle of my pinky. it was a weird yellow paint and the blood mixed weird

I've bled a few times, but the one that sticks out is I was playing at a recball place for fun. My Automag, yes this was long ago that the battle of Mag v Cocker was still raging, was being serviced so I was using the rental for a few games.

I was in a "castle" type thing, and all the other team walks up to the ref going "We win we win!" and the ref's all "nope, one person left".

I couldn't believe they were all together... so I pop up in the castle and start laying paint. Well, cheap paint + stock rental barrel = wildfire. I hit 1 person, but the rest went all over. They spotted me and laid paint on my location. I dropped down thinking "well, now I'm screwed" and sure enough I look right and there's a barrel pointing through the wall slit. This was about 6 inches from my right bicep.

The dude lets off like 10 shots (idiot) straight into my right bicep. Left a nice quarter sized cut and bled all over the place. I actually have a quarter sized visable scar there now.

Still was hella fun.

Shot from around 7 feet away at well over 400 fps right in between my pointer and middle finger, rolling the skin back on my hand. I held my hand up to walk off the field and saw a pink and red substance running down my arm, I thought it was just some weird type of paint. But it was actually the pink fill and my blood. Apparently it hit a vein and popped it, so I was bleeding quite bad.

Never played with those douche bags again. That was 7 years ago and I still have a scar.

Yep, I've bled plenty of times, usually from getting shot in the hand/knuckles at the indoor field when I forget to put my gloves on.

Honestly yes, at least once or twice per play. I have sensitive skin though.

and maybe thats y red fill is...illegal

ive scraped the skin off my elbows.
slid into a stake and cut my knee pretty good.
tons of those same blood blisters from hits, got hit under my mask on the jawbone once..that made a nice one.
ive cut myself on my gun..

Twice that I can recall...

I had a nickel-sized scab from a 5 ft shot during a recball game, and an equally large one from being bunkered by Anson Hong on my hand, 2-3 ft from his barrel to my hand. At least he only shot once or twice.

im not worried about red paint. ive never "tended to" a bloody welt in all my years playing, i just wipe the blood off and let it be. so i dont think not being able to see if you were bleeding would be a big deal since the shells of paintballs only make very small cuts.

i did get a pretty bad one a few weeks ago. i got shot, was walking off and someone on my team shot me in the arm (pretty close range). the skin there still doesnt look right. hell one time i got shot in the arm with the barrel pretty much touching my skin (a couple inches away or less) but that wasnt bad, didnt even hurt that much for some reason.

every time i've gone, i've bled. Weather it be from a close range bunkering, cutting myself on a rock/piece of wood/ect., or me just being my stupid self.

i usually bleed from getting shot, and its always because of a douche nozzle jacking up his velocity at the deadbox or an asshat that bonus balls me as i walk walk off out of the snake usually..

but i do agree that the red paintballs could cause confusion or lack of knowledge of a current injury someone may have on the field.

I've been shot in my arm while playing in a T-shirt. The paintball shell actually cut my skin, I've only had this happen once.

As long as stuff doesnt inside the cut your fine. Paint itself will not do anything to your body. i had a spike cut me from a bunker. That was worse then getting cut from an actual paintball

I Bled when i shot myself in the hand i was 12 and i put my finger in my barrel to see if there was a break and i just got my rail and wasnt use to sensitve triggers and pulled it while my finger was in there

and i was in snake and it was a very tall snake and i went to shoot over it and lifted up my head got nailed in the neck by a nsake player that no one called out

I have bled numerous times from shots on bare skin, especially in close quarters. Just last weekend, I got shot in the arm (wearing shortsleeve shirt) and the shell cut my arm just so so that it sliced the skin deep enough to bleed. But, I have never had a paintball do anything near serious, only minor surface cuts/scratches.
