Blast Camp is just south of US 6, very close to portage. It's on an old army base. www.blastcamp.com

Fort Knox is about an hour away in Winamac, but it is BYOP and has some great field setups. www.fortknoxpaintball.com

I usually go to Badlandz, or Blastcamp, haven't tried Fort Knox Paintball yet. (I'm from Portage)

Fort Knox is inexpensive, has friendly staff, has some sweet fields (old west town and junkyard ar my favorites), it's pretty much the total package. It's really not that far from portage, about a hour.

Way not to be biased.

Blastcamp - is fine if your into that sort of thing. (its an abandon NIKE missile base, ALOT of scenario, objective play, almost no speedball, but its a nice change of pace.) 5 min drive from Portage

Badlandz - Great if your looking for a little bit of everything (Mostly focuses on speedball). 25 dollar entry, BYOP, and usually has nice size turnouts. Lots of fields. (Chicago Aftershock practices here)

Fort Knox
- Not bad, but its by a body of water, and it gets crazy muddy. They have a nice field selection, forts, woodsball, and backyard speedball (bunkers made of tires, cars, hay, etc). Prices are good, BYOP, 5 dollar all day air, 20 dollar entry. Pretty much a rec ballers paradise. Although the past few times I have went, the turnouts have been very crappy.

well I'm not sure how my opinion is more biased than anyone elses. I've been playing for over 9 years now. I started at Blast Camp. Cool place but its expensive. I think they want like $90 for a case of paint now.

I've played at Badlandz and the place was okay, but I literally smelled like horse manure after I played. It's right next to a horse track and the runoff runs right into the field. Its not called "Bad lands" for nothing. lol

Fort Knox is the best all around in my opinion. BYOP + $25 including all day air. Friendly staff and plenty of fields, including an Xball field.

if you are a tournament player badlandz is the best place to play. i have never smelled like horse crap when i have left by any means. it has relatively decent grass but since there are so many teams that play there it turns to dirt pretty fast. if you want competition definitely go there. like you said shock and shock kidz play there, legend(nppl), players from avalanche, vicious, altitude.

they also have tons of rec fields. the place is very big and has a little bit of everything

Thread was very helpful. I've been playing at Blast Camp and while it's amazingly fun, it's becoming expensive. BYOP fields seem better, I'll be heading to Fort Knox this upcoming weekend. $68 for a case of 2,000......
