comfort for me personally...mostly due to the old days when i wore one of those "woodstalker" mask under my super-hard uvex goggles...used to give me one VERY bad pressure induced comfort is #1 with me, then the ability to not fog is a super close second..

My thoughts:

Comfort, #1 If it's not comfortable then the other 6 don't matter.

Peripheal Vision, Fairly important especially since I'm used to the Vforce brand of masks.

Durability, To me there are several kinds. 1. Taking shots, 2. longevity. It should be able to take several seasons of play and not fade, fall apart on me.

Bounce/Skip, Not so important to me.

Weight, Unless someone is making a mask out of lead I'm not worried about it.

Graphics or Customizability, I like nice graphics, I really don't customize my masks.

Low Profile, As long as it does not compromise safety then I'm OK with it.

Comfort is by far the most important aspect. It the mask is not comfortable you will buy something that is.

Vision is next. In this I include Periph vision, antifog/thermal lens, etc.

The cool factor is last. This includes the looks, graphics, etc.

Dont change just add

The most dreaded and hatefull thing we players see is when a company goes for round 2 on a good thing. Those companies ALWAYS seem to take away something good to add something new. SAVE PHACE HEAR US!!!!!dont take away anything! But I would like you to add a few things and most of us would aggree that we need more protection from your mask. More coverage on the lower part and extend the sides to cover the ears. Yeah Yeah i know i know 96% but ya know you could get it too 99% or 100% if ya did that or just mask a Large size. ONE thing if any though please change how your antifog work, this condensation bs is a no no. Otherwise you all rule and could rule the pb mask market!

Padding around the ears would be nice. The current mask after 6-8 hours of continuous use starts to strain the ears (it could be that I have a big head).

I don't have a thermal lens so I get the condensation problem and taking off the head shield does help some. Viewing area is great and I will be testing the thermal lens in Oct. I will also say that my profilers are a single lens, and I do not get the condensation problem with those.

This mask is durable but my digi pattern has rubbed off in some places (I have the wax stuff and I do use it).

I do not buy a mask hoping for bounces.

Weight is not something that comes to mind when I buy a mask.

For graphics I like white, black, olive drab, and camo patterns. You guys have this covered.

Low profile is something I look at basically cause I don't want a mask that is going to stick half foot off my face. The profile of the current mask is fine and I would not change it.

I think all of those features are important in a great mask design. Especially if you want to beat up on competition. Make a softer bottom that is soft ears because those are cheap and suck...replaceable foam would be nice, easy lens replacement, not too heavy overall, fits tight to face but not too tight, maintain great breathing capabilities, and make it so you can hear...we don't want ear muffs...and looks are always fun and cool to have. But you can't please everyone with looks.

I can't believe so few people have vocalised the importance of anitfog.

Afterall, if it fogs, you can't see, thus you won't wear the mask will you. Simple. This should really be #1 on everybody's list. A mask is no good if you can't see out of it, everything else is secondary to actual human vision. Probably this is a case where most players take for granted existing antifog in masks and tend to focus on those other things they think are superior.

But again, you could have the softest, lightest, most comfortable, coolest graphics, cheapest mask out there... but if it fogs, you still won't wear it will you. Nobody likes masks that fog.

i look for a mask that is comfortable over all, but i also look for a mask that has a visor since i usually cant wear sunglasses with the mask and i dont want dark lense since i am not in the sun constantly. a visor is great in woodsball since it lets me see well in the lower light areas but protects my eyes from the sun when i am exposed to it.

In order of importance
  1. Comfort
  2. Durability
  3. Bounce/Skip
  4. Peripheral Vision
  5. Graphics + Customization

Basically, the current Save Phace goggles look sick. So they're great when it comes to the graphics department. But one crucial problem I had with the Save Phace goggles was the lenses. The ease of use of the goggles is definitely down the ****ter. I thought Flex 8 lenses were hard to swap, but my god I was almost near impossible to change the lenses on the current Save Phace masks. The mask I owned and did not like was the Thermal So Phat Series (War Lord).
A small, but not a big deal problem was that, those masks were pretty hard. I would never be able to get a bounce of that mask, I think only Monster Balls would bounce off that thing. Maybe a more flexible plastic, or rubber would be better and more comfortable. But at the same time result in more bounces/skips.

P.S. the poll peripheal should = Peripheral

Sorry for nerding out with spelling.
