Exclamation PM8 Tech & Owner. Help!!!!

I got my new PM8 and was so excited to take it to the Field... Thinking that PM8 Shoots Rope as what some Peeps said, unfortunately on the field chron. my marker and was on factory settings, did not touch a thing, straight out the box and I used my Freak Barrel.... I was kind of Disappointed due on how it Shoot (Balls are Dropping.). Please tell me what to do and what do I need to adjust? Do I need to adjust the LPR + and - the Reg. Velocity Setting? Thanks....

The very first thing that you do when you buy a matrix is relube it (the gun might have been sitting in a warehouse for months causing the lube to gunk)
so relube the bolt and check for drop off and bolt stick: if you still have problems relube the lpr and hpr and reset them (hpr is about 2.5-3 turns out and the lpr is approximately 3 turns out [after you break it in you can lower the lpr])

Edit: forgot to add be sure to change the battery (just in case).

Change the battery for sure,re-lube the bolt, probably don't have to touch HPR and LPR until your in front of a chrono. More than likely that was your issue.

Could you explain a bit more what your actual problem is? You say that the "balls are dropping" - do you mean that you are getting shoot down in rapid fire? Or do you mean that the trajectory isn't as flat as you were expecting?

Certainly, as amd suggested, it is a good idea to strip, clean and relube the marker, becuase the grease could have solidified, if the packaging wasn't sealed when you got the marker, dust could have got in to it, or any number of other things just due to the marker having sat around for a while.

It is also worth while changing the battery, as they can gradually lose power, especially if the battery was actually plugged in when the marker was received.

So, clean the marker, change the battery, and see if things are any better. On top of that, try and give us a better idea of what is actually happening with the marker, and we may be able to come up with some more specific suggestions.

The trajectory isn't as flat as I expected and when I'm doing rapid fire... I had this prob. before on my Ego but can't remember what I did..

Cleaned and re-lube the gun after.. Tested and same thing happened and I was using my evil paint...

So just to clarify, is it the trajectory in general - every shot, including the first (actually, lets say from the second shot onwards, as the first shot may be subject to bolt stick/first shot drop off ); or is it that the trajectory starts off good but gets worse when you rapid fire?

If I do one Ball at a time the marker shoots just fine but, if I do rapid fire thats where the prob. comes in... the ball start's dropping..

It's possible you may also have some air flow issues - air may not be getting through the marker quick enough when rapid firing. Make sure that your air bottle is screwed all the way in. If it is, then you may be experiencing a situation where your ASA and bottle aren't 100% compatible. What can happen is that when the tank is screwed the pin in the ASA actually blocks air flow from your tank. Unscrew the tank 1/2 a turn and see if that makes a difference.

As already mentioned, the battery will have an effect here, as can cleaning and lubing the bolt kit and the regulators, and making sure that all the o-rings are in good condition.

Matrix PM7 marker has a arch to the flight path of the balls. I don't know why but they shoot just as far and acurate as my Ego. Compared to my Ego I have to aim the PM7 slightly higher to hit the same spot.

Check your HPR and LPR piston seats to see if they are in good shape.

If they are, and you still are having a problem, let me know, PM me that is.

even with out the brake in period you shouldn't have drop off. Just turn your LPR up a little bit.
