Loud PM8
Ok, so I've had my PM8 for about 4 months, and it is loud! No other problems, shoots fine, but it has a very sharp sound signature. It almost sounds like gunfire, but not quite as loud.
All the settings are stock, so is the noise just the way the gun is? Have I not checked something? I'm starting to think that the stock barrel isn't the best, maybe the porting on mine is different, is it really as easy as replacing the barrel?
Anybody elses PM8 do this?

Already did. LPR is at stock, as are all settings, and I break down and clean the marker every time I use it.

Nothing wrong with the stock barrel - good quality, good finish - but there are quieter barrels out there no doubt.

Thats what I thought, I like my stock barrel, it shoots darts, but I guess the PM8 is just loud for a matrix. Thanks for the help.

If you're in an enclosed area and firing the gun, of course it will sound loud. I've had mine for 2 months now and everyone that heard it says it is very quiet. Of course when I'm behind the gun firing it, it sounds loud. So I had a friend shoot it and I was about 15 feet away, yes, it is quieter than any gun I've heard out there (IMO).

try lowering your lpr some, or you can increase your dwell to 20 and lower your HPR. That will make it quieter, but less efficient. I would suggest just trying a new barrel such as an Ultralite and then lowering your lpr a bit.

when he said to reset your lpr he ment air up the gun then turn the lpr almost all the way in then turn the gun on and dry fire the gun as your turn the lpr out... then once the bolt begins to cycle fully with out delay then thats where it should be.

also check your rear bumper o-ring. if it is worn everytime you shoot the top hat force movig forwad would slam into the bolt really hard without anything to help the impact. this will also make the gun feel like there is a lot of kick. the o-ring is a 111bn70
