Cool thing to do man. Yes, normal impulse o-rings work. Shouldn't be hard to find on ANS or eBay. There are two types of Max-Flo regs. There's a vertical and a horizontal. The horizontal are a bit older. Both can be rebuilt without too much trouble. If you have the horizontal, then the ASA is built in and you may need to place an oring in the ASA. Otherwise the pin in the ASA engages the tank's reg too soon and leaks. The Max-Flo can also be replaced with a newer reg. I replaced mine with a Dye hyper 3 since I had a horizontal that was just too big to use.
