I like the black. Try making a few more things orange though. Stem, sprocket, seat clamp, maybe brakes if you can find some, and maybe orange hubs?

Or you can just paint the parts yourself, instead of buying parts for their color.

Speaking of painting, I just my front fork sand blasted, powder coated black, and return shipped for $25. Its a nice Trek full chromo, tappered leg, 3/8 dropout fork, just needed the slight surface rust and chrome to be blasted off, and the PC shouldn't chip. Got shipped out today, should get it sometime next week.

Eh, I guess I'm lucky, because I have everything to do that in my garage.

I once emailed some local company who is involved with using sandblasters and they emailed me back saying they couldn't sandblast my forks because they ran out of sand. I don't know if it was supposed to be some kind of a sick joke or what..

I really need to start riding more park and street... I guess there is a tiny *** skate park that's like 20 mins. from my house. Some is inside most is out. Usually pretty dead so it would be a good starter.

And a few of the people I race with go there so it might be kinda fun.

A great place to ride street is in industrial courts. On the weekends there is nobody in them, and during the week they usually aren't that busy. There are a lot of loading docks, which means ledges, banks, stairs, rails, etc all grouped in one place. Check around your town for industrial courts, I'm sure you have atleast one.

Yup yup, there is one near me that is a docking station and it has banks on each side and a curb at the top, so it acts like a half pipe. Can stall and everything, sick spot.

i probably sound like a ***** asking this, but i have 65 bucks, and im pretty sure i want to buy bike parts. im not going to upgrade anything on my eastern, so what could i get that would go on my kink besides the pedals and grips im already getting. and i dont want to spend all 65 bucks on one thing. something in the 30-50 range, unless its cool.

im thinking pegs, tires, and hoes.

in addition to what you listed...stem, sprocket, chain, seat/post, seatclamp, barends, alloy axle nuts, tree hot bars *cough*sig*cough*.

just options, not that any of its that important... or you could get some pads, grippy shoes or other gear.

about the BB, i finnally got up the guts to take apart the BB today, i wish i hadn't. it wasnt hard, just unscrew all the locknuts, and finally the last barrier. the point between your fingers, and hell. im stupid so of course i unscrew it, and instantly regret it. an ungodly mess of black and yellow gunk hold the bearing cage to the shell. finally after emptying my stomach, i remove it. this **** is so thick and sticky im suprised that my cranks actually moved. i get one of them done and move the the other. just for laughs i decide to throw it at a wall.It stuck.

works great now though. pretty clean.

Get some odyssey directors. I think those look nice, or fit blades. For cranks, PRimo powerbites are nice. Im using one right now, lasting a long time.

So I found a thread over on the bmx-forums about turning an old coaster brake hub into a free coaster hub. We looked in my friends garage and found his old wheel off his dyno, its a Shimano 36h coaster brake laced to an alex single wall rim. It looks like it will be good one to work with. I'm in the process of cleaning it now, then I'm going to reassemble it so it doesn't have the brake part anymore, so then you can pedal backwards. The inside of them is idedntical to free coasters, only not as expensive. I'll let you guys over here know how it goes.
