My brake cable snapped so I took off everything. After riding trails brakeless I know it upped my confidence for riding with brakes on trails.

EDIT: Don't mind the seat level.

Heh. I'm just trying to imagine riding my MTB without brakes. I don't think it would be advisable.

But anyway, is anyone here from south or central NJ? And rides a mountain bike?

Some good lookin bikes guys! Ill post one of mine in a bit.

Riding brakeless makes you ride more technical. I know alot of guys who ride w/o brakes in parks, and although to me it would be a bad idea... they claim it has upped their skills and confidence.
If you have trouble commiting to tricks, ditch the breaks! :p

thank you for telling it how it is..
its 100% true..i used to be afraid to land handrails..and just simple stuff like ledges and what not...and now I can do it with ease....especially riding park..due to the fact that i have no brakes..its way easier to just ride up..not worry about *****ing out at the last moment...obviously riding brakes is alot smarter, but you do see yourself commit to more stuff brakeless...it takes some getting used to....but if you cant afford to buy shoes every now and then...dont do it lmao ive went through 2 pairs alone riding brakeless
