Im a new paintballer. I just got into the sport about a month ago or so and friggin had a blast. I first played at Forney had amazing time.
But I REALLY want to start playing competitively and I have been searching around for fields that have X-Ball or Airball or anything of that such.
I found Xdrenalin Zone Paintball in Grapevine. I was wondering what yalls thoughts are on this place as Id like to start going there every other weekend starting next month to get better as a "Back Player".
yeah its a great field, and yes they let you do your own thing if you only want to play air ball, there are usually 6 or so different guys there every weekend just playing airball, you can just jump in
Looking for a beginner-rookie level team in DFW
I have been to Xdren twice and it was a bad experience both times. Both air fill stations were broken, most of the xball fields were deflated, and the refs could care less. I see people posting good things about Xdren here but everyone I have ever talked to in person had the same crappy experience. Gsplat and FOTR take their customers much more seriously.
Xdren was hit bad by spring storms, thus knocking out some of the fields and ruining 2 of the air stations.
before you start to complain realize the amount of man hours it takes to repair the netting and fields. It is a time intensive process that isnt done overnight.
And I beg to differ I know the refs will paint check, if you want the best service always ask for GEE to ref and or Alex. they are the best ones that will ref on a continuous basis.

I have been 4 times. 2 times were good and the last 2 not so much. I know of 1 one fill station that was broke. Not saying all were. As for the refs.. Lets just say monkeys could do a better job. If you want a paint check make sure you belong to one of the X-dren teams so you can call it on the other team. As for the price its not to bad. I bring my own paint so i cant complain about the cost cause it works out pretty good. I have played other places and the results are very much similar from my expierence.
Fort paintball has a full xball field every sunday, cheaper than xdren and there's some decent competition.
Refs can be a bit lazy (on saturdays when i'm there at least) but they'll actually do paintchecks.
Lately a lot of players with national tournament (higher than d4/d3) experience have been known to show up there from time to time. Competitive prices and a new PSP Xball field is set up or at least every time those old guys venture out of their holes.
