if you're only going to use it to practice snap shooting, get something that's similar (I use that term very loosely) to the speedball gun you use. Your best bet is just to get a pump kitted cocker. It has the hopper so you can learn how to keep that in, and the tank so you can get used to the weight. Also, the double finger trigger is a lot more similar to the electric triggers than a single finger trigger is.

Phantom if you want to shoot stock class. Sniper if you want to shoot open class.

Get yourself out to Xtreme sometime. Tons of pumpers there.

I personally don't care for them, but for most new pump players I would reccomend a Phantom. It works out of the box, it shoots about as good as a pump gun will, and if (heaven forbid) you don't like pump, a Phantom is one of the few guns in the sport with a guaranteed resell value.

I'd go with the sniper/cocker pump platform.
It's very close to a semi in feel, and you can use the same tank and hopper.
Just figure out what parts you want on it, and go for it.
