it's not "worthless", it teaches you the basics of drifting, so it helps beginners...but you're right, learning to drift w/o it will be better for you in the end

It's worthless.
It ****s up your drifting big time, so if you learn to drift with it, you can't drift for **** without it. Weight transfer is something you have to learn to feel yourself.

Are you serious?
If you can't find parts for a new Tamiya car, you have serious searching impedements.
I've never had problems finding upgrades, and stock parts for my car.

you can find them on eBay for around $80, mind you that this is the roller and a RTR will set you back more, but you'd want a roller anyways.

It all depends on how much money you're willing to spend and whether you have experience with RC or not.

Tamiya has a LOT of cars available and a lot of of versions of each car. You have ready to drift versions, ready to drive versions, all kinds. It all just depends on how much money you're willing to spend.

I use my trinity pro 10 when I want to drift, just put street tires on it.

(used to be used for indoor carpet tracks only)

buy a tt01 for the body and light kit, throw the chasis in the garbage, then put that on a better platform like a ta05 or a tc3 even a cyclone, then you need a good power plant I use the novak gtb 6.5 or the newer slydr 6.5, some good lipo cells, hpi drift tires, and some more money and time and your set. NO GYRO save that for a heli!

I don't..understand...why you would put thaat much money into RC drifting. I've seen kids with TT01's outdrift rich fanboys with the most expensive 3.4 radio system lipo and brushless. All you need is a 4wd car, some slick tires, a locked diff, and a lot of time.
