I had an original HPI Sprint. Great first car to drift with. I wouldnt recommend any upgrades right off the bat because the Sprint 2 should be more than enough chassis to drift with.

Tamiya TT-01 is the best starter drift car, it's cheap as hell and has so many upgrades available for it.

and PVC pipe = best drift wheels

get abs tires instead. they have a little more grip than pvc and look more realistic. search "sushi drift" on ebay and get his tires. you really don't need anything to drift, just a bunch of practice. cut the rear diff guard off. rocks can get stuck in there and destroy the belt. have fun!

dont' bother "buying" tires, just go to Lowes or Home Depot and make your own, takes $5 to make a good set of drift wheels that last awhile

Better quality/look then homemade tires. If you have the money to buys some sushi's, buy them, they'll look a ton better and preform better too. If you have money for some of the more expensive ones like the yokohama's, get them. Whatever you can afford.

HPI and Tamiya make the best looking drift tires, but they're also $10 for the cheapest tires, but they only come in packs of 2

Best looking =/= best tires. Yokohama has some tires with replacable drift rings which makes it pretty cheap to run them.
