Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn
What's everyone input on these books? I started reading the first of the series last night and actually went out today and bought the rest of the set. So far its been pretty interesting, but just wanted to know if it was up to the hype.

my girlfriend made me read twilight, and i really enjoyed it. im considering getting the rest of the series, but im currently reading that hideous strength.

Hideous Strength? Never heard of it .. what's it about?
Yeah I'm on like chapter 12 of Twilight and can't seem to put it down.

they are the most AMAZING books in the history of forever. ive read all of em and im a devoted fan. i read the first 3 in one weekend. and BD in a day. they are soooo cool. and ive got a lot of my guy friends to read them. as well as my bf

well seeing as that i dont have uterus i thought twilight wasn't half bad...my girlfriend misled me on the action content, but it was still a good story, there has to be more to it if it could keep millions of preteen/teen girls interested for more than 1 book.

yeah.. the action isn't really "action" like guys typically like but it's pretty amazing if you have a good imagination and can see it in your head.. i love it.

I definetly enjoyed it and I am planning on reading the rest of the series eventually, but for now i have other books i want to finish first. I Also hope her writing style matures through the series, twilight reads like a well written fan fiction to me...not that i could write any better  |

I did not like Breaking Dawn as much as the other three.
Of course, I consider all of these books guilty pleasures, along with Gossip Girl, etc.

I have been thinking about reading these, but I can't actually bring myself to go to the store to buy them or order them. Are they really as good as people say? The only people that keep suggesting them to me are girls.

When I went to buy Breaking Dawn, my friend and I saw three fat girls leaving the store empty handed, so we knew they had no copies left.

the books are in a girls perspective....but Stepehenie Meyer (the author) is making one called "Midnight Sun" its Twilight in Edwards eyes...not Bella's. might be more appealing to guys

when i went to buy it i also bought some Kerouac and some star wars books
i should have bought a copy of playboy to prove my manliness

MC- reading books will, in fact, get you laid.
The series is solid, but (drawing on professional knowledge) written to be targeted primarily towards girls. BUT--and this is a big 'ol ghetto-booty BUT- it's no different from reading any other work primarily marketed to girls. Ever thumb through Cosmo to "know thy enemy?" Same principle.

hmm. interesting. my little sister is obsessed with them, and i could never figure out why. the only vampire novels i really read are anne rice (queen of the damned, vittorio the vampire, etc.) and the brian lumley necroscope series.
