The purpose of this thread is the Off Topic discussion of any topic that wouldn't otherwise fit in the Kingman forum. It's welcome to any and all members.

However, this is a privilege not a right. PBN is under no obligation to provide an OT thread.

Please do not be disrespectful or unwelcoming to any other user. If you feel someone is trolling, spamming, or flaming in this thread, report the post and ignore it. If you don't like someone, add them to your ignore list.Then you will never have to read their posts again.

The ground rules are the same as elsewhere on PBN with an emphasis that if you can not behave in a mature fashion, you will receive infractions points which may result in a ban. All PBNation rules apply here and will be upheld here.

If you are banned on site from PBN, please don't bother posting in this thread. If you know someone to be a known BOS report them and move on. We will not tolerate a thread that will harbor BOS members. If this thread starts to harbor BOS members it will be terminated without notification.

Please keep all BST or BST type posts out of this thread. If you post anything that resembles a BST post you will be infracted and post deleted. Continue and you will be banned and your BST thread closed.

Pictures that are too large will be deleted without notification.

still thats cool I consider it collecting but I dont look forward to it my bro does he is goin for a church trip with his gf otherwise it is a 5+ hr. drive from hibbing and plus I will be in the cities in alittle less than 2 weeks for a wedding. =0

Yeah, that would be a drive, but how can you go wrong with being in the cities.

I LOVE the State Fair. I usually go 4-5 times. Can't get enough of the food and beer er.... pops.

I was just wondering if the Barnesville, MN Potato Days festival was still going to happen this year. i know it went down last year but i have not heard anything this year. Does anyone know anything about it?

My wife, used to show at the arena. She was a show jumper for many years when she was younger.....12-17. Now we live in a suburban area so no more farm animals for us.

So this is kind of off topic, but hey it's an OT right?

Who else experienced some of that storm early Thursday? At my place the sky was completely green (if you drew a picture and took a piece of green paper and put it over the sky that's what it was like) there were winds of around 80-90 mph, and it rained 2 1/2 inches. The power went out until Friday morning. This wouldn't really be that big of a problem if we didn't have pigs in barns. We have a generator but it isn't really big enough to power the whole place so we were using NO electricity in the house until late in the night when it was cooler outside and the barns weren't using as much electricity. It overheated and died numerous times so then we had to run and open all the doors so the pigs wouldn't suffocate. Wow it was a long day.

That sucks about the storm! Poor Pigs. How is the barn so air tight that they would suffocate?

I have not been to a farm in 15 years....I am sure technology has changed since then, but air tight? That doesn't sound like a good idea.

Not really all that excited about the fair...
I however do enjoy the food on a stick and cheese curds, and of course corn... but yeah not really excited about it. Just makes me hungry

Phantom which area are you in? North? northwest? South? etc... burbs??

yeah man that storm was bad i had to drive through it when the tornado sirens were going off and i was out of power from 8:30-3:30 it sucked very bad hahaha

I dont really go to the state fair as much anymore, but I am going to the Renaissance Festival! Love that place, its like an all day Famous Daves, get to pig out and be a filthy slob all day! lol

I have lived in MN since 93 and NEVER been to the Ren Fes. I need to go one year.
