Ferret - I thought about the X Valve - but...there really is no difference except weight. It's an automag - its not gonna replace my ego - so....I went with the RT valve. It was cheaper - and it matched the pewter body I put on it.
Cookie - not for sale now. I put a ton of hours into this thing.
It uses the ego lcd board - but - the sear which operates the bolt is driven off the lpr and a solenoid I had to buy separately.

People always say that... but it's not like they'ed hurt it. They just add a few neatness/bragging points. I'd put them on there, if I could afford to make a mag to begin with. At any rate, gun looks great.

People always say that for a reason. And if you're modding a mag...what bragging points? It's a mag. It's just another way to stand out. 0 chops w/o eyes.
I love mags.

First off - I'm definitely not the first to do this. Although - I'm pretty sure there isn't more then a 1/2 a dozen or so of these out there.
I'll take some pics of the internals a little later. But...I used a MPA-3 actuator. I installed a small air driven noid (driven from the installed lpr) to drive the ram from the MPA-3.
The frame, rail, and sear had to be modified to all work together. I can do a writeup if needed. All my work was done with a dremel and a hacksaw. The sear took the longest to modify.
The RT Pro valve which is installed has the lvl 10 bolt and ULT. The ULT had to have almost all its shimmed removed since I can walk an ego frame with ease.
I own 3 ego's, a cocker w/ an ego frame, and now an automag w/ ego frame. For me...I shoot most consistant w/ the ego frame and a delrin pin w/ stock trigger.
The lvl 10 bolt, for those of you who don't understand, is a replacement for eyes. You cannot possibly grasp how quick the bolt will retract if it finds a ball not fully in the chamber. Eyes are not needed on an automag.
To install them for the "gimic" serves no real purpose. The only possible reason to install the eyes is if you plan on outshooting the capped 15 bps of the ego board. Since I play semi only - and have only shot 16 bps several times in my life - I don't care to install eyes.
The eyes would need to be installed in such a way where covers (which are not made for this marker) would need to be installed. For the benefit - they, in my opinion, are not worth installing.

Outside of bragging rights....uncapped ramping...
Eyes are really not needed. Almost all hoppers will feed faster then the 13.3 bps (or even the 15bps original cap).
The reballs are obviously slower then real paint. If you watch my vid - you'll see that there was one "blip" in my stream. That was the balls getting hung up in my halo. The bolt felt the inconsistant feed and reacted appropriately. With paint - I should be able to shoot 15bps on semi w/ ease.
