knee pads

Not that new to the sport but have never worn knee pads before and my knees are starting to get hurt from all the sliding. I'm looking to get a pair of knee pads with good suport but dont know what to look for, i would like somthing 07 or 08. If anybody has any advice that would be great.

I can say with confidence that dye comes closer to making the perfect knee pad every year. I can also say no one has achieved it yet. just be sure to get the proper size in whatever you chose, it will make a world of difference.

The Dye C8's were really nice, but they slide down throughout the day as you do a few supermans. The PE kneepads feel cheaper, but they stay put. They don't move at all. So I sold the Dyes and kept the PE's.

I wear the empire ground pounders... they are pretty good. they only slip down when i get really really sweaty on 95+ degree days but i think any pad would slip im so sweaty.

If yours are sliding you have them too loose. There's an adjustable strap for a reason you know.

After wearing my buddies ground pounders for a day and compairing them to my dye, (I think they're the 05 or 06) I'm glad I payed the extra for the dye pads. I like the 08s I just picked up even better. It's longer and has a rubber like material at the bottom and an adjustable strap at the top that keeps them in place far better then my old dye pads and my old ones harldy ever moved except when I slid wrong.

If you need pads and are on a budget I'd look at some ebay stores from pb sites like actionvillage, firstcallpaintball, orderpaintball, and the other legit stores that have ebay stores. They clean out old inventory there and you can find a pair of NIB pre 08 dye pads for cheaper then the ground pounders are.

If you want full hip, groin, butt, and knee protection, go with teh Empire slider pants (more like shants, but whatever). They are cheaper than dyes knee pads, and cover a **** load more.

I have to say that Dye Knee pads are far better then almost any other brand.
