sorry, there is alot to read here, and im on limited time usually..
or im on my phone at work.....
from what i read on the first page, no lpr fits.. and frames have to be modded.
ill try to read more this weekend before i buy a body
|
Yes.
All the actual EvilM bodies were built by AKA pre-SP debacle.
They are all the same, and were all machined (to the extent that they have been machined) by AKA.
Tony and I are also offering milling services to carve up the blocky exterior, if you should wish to go that route.
Read the thread.
Lots of good info in there, it's worth the hour.

Just wanted to drop in and let everyone know that I am still working on this project. Mine is the one that Tony has had for a while, after which I'm going to email a couple anodizers. Hopefully the LPRs come out soon, it's the only hold up thus far. I've got 3 week vacation coming up fast and I'd like the use the gun before the project turns a year old...
The milling mine will be is I believe the EL cut, and something pretty special for anodizing. Of course I'm not going to describe it, add some e-suspense, haha.
Has anybody found legitimate testing numbers or anything worthwhile on the new SST/STS regulator?

My SST is preforming better than my SW and a tad better than a 2L on my 04 viking.
I dont have any sophisticated equipment, but IMO any AKA reg is awesome.

so i just got done reading all this mess
someone with more time should run throu and make a list of everything that is known to work..
i guess next week when i get paid im getting a body and one of those empty borg setups from ebay.
then im on the hunt for a noid.
yay another random project to burn cash on
decided ill have the noid pocket milled out a little more so i can just use the little o-rings since that seemed to be an option
from there its all buy it when i can, starting with the important stuff, lpr, valve, cartridge, bolt, board, and so on..
where is everyone buying their hardware, like the little screws to plug the air passages and such.... (the hardware stores around here suck. anything i bought, if they had what i needed, would only rust)
and last
stupid question of the night.
has anyone thought of what it would take to make this closed bolt
lol...

Well as far as what would work.
Any Cocker or Cyborg ASA
Frame any as long as they are deep enough to fit the solenoid or make a tray so the frame would work.
DC LPR or mill the body a little bit to fit a cyborg lpr
04 Viking Cartridge
04 Viking Bolt
RT Valve
AKA Detents
AKA/Cyborg threaded feed neck
Cyborg eyes or mill the holes if they are larger
Solenoid Humphrey HEA10A5-GL-101W
Eye covers (Looks like Tony Elia has that covered as Coolhand and probably DC)
Board Depends on the frame
Whatever regulator you want but hopefully a AKA reg since it is a AKA gun
Don't think I forgot anything.

04 viking valve spring as well... make sure you ask for that when you order your tornado or RT valve because they don't normally come with one, you'd be SOL with out one.

lol
i was wondering what kind of answer id get..
everyone is busting *** to get the evil-m it just made me wonder if aka had plans to build a better/updated/newer excal. hell, the excal was the first high dollar gun that i got tight in the pants for. closed bolt, faster than a shocker, no front block and hoses to deal with, no timing, and later it got eyes.

Since when were excals fast, even more so then SFT? lol
Anyway, aside form a custom frame whats the best one people have found to use? So far it seems like a borg frame would work great. Ive seen an 06 used but that about an 07?

The O7 can't be used without having a tray or relocating the solenoid.
So far people have chosen the 06 cyborg frame or the ICD G2 frame although there are some other frames people have chosen to use.

A neat gun for sure.
But will probably never see a production line.
I could only see this gun being manufactured if the creator decided to create them on a limited run basis with pre-order basis only.

Ok I'll let you off the hook this time then
So far it seems the 06 borg is best route. It still need some mod'ing to work though.

Custom frames and custom solenoid transfer plate
I'm looking for input on the Evil M frame. If anyone has suggestions, or a style they would like to see --- I am open to hear your thoughts. You could just email me as well.
Another thought which is in the works is a solid mount for the solenoid that would change the position....and then you could use any frame.
I'm not sure what the price would be -- but this wouldn't be a threaded plate with hoses. Although that is one option, I am thinking that this way would be more reliable.
Not to add an entirely new dimension to this project...but something that has really been on my mind.
Eye covers are going to take another week. I have to have a custom tool made for the cutting. The tool is of course a production decision since we need all the sets to come out perfectly.

affordability,, so using the most common boards and triggers. Consense always hits ego 07 i believe. As to frame style, everyone is different.
