Did not really go all out looking for a cool watermark, just typed my name in the bottom.

all of them look pretty grainy, with the proper exposure some of those shots would look pretty good, but what do you expect from a point an shoot

if your looking to get serious into photography, which it seems you are, i'd definitely recommend investing in a DSLR, no one wants to pay for pics that came from a point and shoot.

Could you recommend a good DSLR camera, cheap but good. Best bang for buck or what ever.

prolly a rebel xti, can find them for around $400ish, it's not the camera that'll cost you though, it's the lenses. depending on what your shooting, a good variety of lenses can cost $1000+

Imo an xt would be better dollar for dollar. It's cool to see some macro around here though. Some curves and a little sharpening in ps would really help those though.

Didn't really need one guy. No one is going to be wanting to steal those pictures.

Fixed

For a cheap DSLR: FAQ thread. Used XT with kit lens.

It's a bad sign if you spend more time in Photoshop than you did taking the photos.

The thing your photos are missing is quality. A snazzy watermark and a border aren't going to make them look better.

But, because I'm feeling helpful, here are some tips.
The first photo would be decent if the focus was on the eye. As it is, everything is pretty soft.

You need to get in front of the snake in the second photo. Focus helps too.

Third photo...I'm not even going to comment on.

Fourth photo has waaaay too much dead space. Get closer.

The fifth photo is not a black and white. It's a gray and gray. Learn to use levels/curves in Photoshop.

The last photo is the only decent one of the bunch.
