we (faction) will be putting on event in the Shreveport area soon. we were wondering how people felt about payouts. would everybody be more interested in low entry fee with lower payouts or a little bit higher entry with higher payouts.

also if we were to put on such said event who would come?

Teams would need more details and when you're looking to do this before they commit.

Paintball in northern Louisiana is very lacking compared to the Southeastern area because 95% of the tournament players are in the Baton Rouge, Lafayette, New Orleans, Mandeville/Covington, and Slidell areas. If you're looking to get most of those teams interested then competitive entry and paint pricing plus serious cash would have to be on the line for the 5+ hour trip.

ninja has a big point, out of baton rouge, it would take a very tempting prize to get me out of the se louisiana/ms region to get me to go and play anything but a national tourney...

the big prizes are where its at

yes we know. we will have a more definate prize package before we set up registration or anything of that sort. i was just wondering generally.

the last event we ran we gave awy over 5000 dollars in prizes with a relatively low entry fee. but if people just want to play cheap and not worried about a payout then we will cater to whoever is the majority.

Honestly I'm not sure. There are so many factors concerning how well a tournament is put on and how many teams are present. Would you be hosting a three or five man tournament?

i think we (critical condition) would be in. i would have to talk to the guys about it but ya we would prob go. i would think a lower entry fee would be nice. but it does not matter either way

Depends Matt, you tryin to get guys from downsouth to come up, or guys from up here to play? I'd go with higher fees, but don't forget that the majority of tourny players we have up here(wich are very few) would most probably not play. I'm up for eather, I just need to find a team to play on

teams from every where. south la mississippi tx. wherever. like i said we want to know what the majority would like. i dont figure many teams from around here would want high fees but if out of town teams would be willing to come for say dms or egos then we would go with that if they made up the majority. hope you guys would still play cody. pat you bounce around so much. you just need to get back on the field havent seen you in forever man. and mark it would be five man.

yeah I know, I got into some trouble with the law and needed a break. Plus me and Will were on some bad terms, so I figured it was a good time to get away from that seen. I'm back now though

if it was a high entry i wouldn't go. i don't really care much about the payout just as long as i can enter and play.
also x-ball format would be awesome.

if you are worried about spending to much money you dont want to play xball.

Well if it were Xball I'd say lower entries just so the cost stay relatively low depending on exactly how many teams enter.. but Frenzy is definately interested

if we did run xball the entries would show it. we understand the difference in paint used and realize that we would sell more paint so the entry would reflect that in being lower. also it is good to hear that yall are interested frenzy. i dont know if yall remember us but we reffed the last event yall played at off limits.

I remember, and thats my major basis for being interested.. you guys run a class act operation up at OFF Limits, and we would definately make the trip back up there to play.. Not to mention that XBall field you guys have looks like lots of fun to play on..
