[GSG-9 (Banned)]

Havent heard of this problem before, so I thought I would post it here....


I own a Marq6, that has been shelved for almost 6months now because I stopped playing paintball for a while, but now when I took it apart to lube it, the poppet was stuck in the front part of the engine, where it holds the spring in place kinda...

So, I removed it with a pair of needle nose plyers and it was stuck in there pretty well.

The delrin/teflon/plastic part of the poppet is swollen (with or without the oring) and will not fit back into the cup used to hold it in place and seal and hold the spring in place.

The OD of the poppet just to the slanted side of the oring groove is .519".

Anyone have a pair of calipers they can use to measure their poppet so I can tell how much it has swelled? And think this will be covered under warranty by BLAST?

They can swell, for a variety of reasons.

Call BLAST (925) 625-7929 and tell them exactly what you wrote in the thread...should be free of charge.

Thanks for the info, I had many timmies/marqs and I never know it can swellen... I better keep shooting my Closer.

Could you give a few reasons as to how? I'm just wondering because I don't think I've heard of that happening.

A lot of the time it's not actually from being swollen, but rather the poppet being slammed shut so many times that it deforms.
