Rainmaker Appraisal ! whats this thing worth ??

So i won a rainmaker on ebay. This thing is LNIB , with the box , and all manuals , the box is is great condition, no rips or anything , and the rainmaker looks like it has never been touched by a human. I got this thing and i thought there was no way it works , was i wrong. I aired this thing up and it shot like a dream , i was so suprised. I couldnt believe i found a gun this old, in such great shape , it dosent look like any screws have ever been touched on it. I dont know anything about it , so any info would be appreciated as well , thanks.

That is a first gen with the long shroud and runs on AA batteries. The options on the board are . . . limited . . . but who cares when you can make all that noise. I take it yours still has the factory zip ties inside the shroud?

Ont thing that adjusts value is if you got a select fire board, or semi only board.

There have been alot of bnib RM's running around in the last year or so. Mostly selling between $100 and $150.

Put in the batteries, fire it up, and tell us what modes it has. My guess would be semi only.

Mode switching is done via a small 3 position switch on the board (all analog baby, no counting blinks here). If you remove the grip panels, and can see a switch through a hole in the side of the grip frame, you got a select fire one.

I have a question, is there any way to up the fire rate on a Rainmaker SF board? I have one and the 3 burst and full auto is at like 6bps. Any way to raise that?

Most likely an early semi auto only board (but I have seen a few oddballs, so nothing is 100% certain, ever). That's ok, they had a higher max rate of fire than the select fire boards. I believe these went up to 13 (crazy fast in the pre-force fed hopper days), while the select fire boards topped out at 9. Trigger switch was kind of hard to walk though (assuming you rig up a double trigger down the line). Swapping in different trigger switches was a common mod back in the day.

If you take off the left grip panel, where the mode switch is, somewhere there is another hole where you can access a trim pot, I think near the bottom of the grip. It's a small component on the board with a small philips screw head. Turn it clockwise to increase rate of fire, counterclockwise to reduce. And as I stated they only go up to around 9, maybe 10 bps.

NIB ones have been selling for $140-ish over the past few months on various sites. Used ones have been going lower or at the same price depending on parts. Painmaker boards drive the price up a tad.
