grilz lenses are bullet proof their is plenty of people who have taken gats to their grillz to prove it.....

why does it matter.i guess thats cool but all you have to do is take care of your **** and check it once in a while and your good.but at least if someone ever goes on a killing spree at the field your eyes will be fine

The only problem with Bulletproof plastics, like polycarbonate, is they are very prone to scratches. So your lens would be bulletproof, but it would scratch very very easially. Personally, I think being able to see is more handy on the paintball field than being protected from small arms fire, especially when there's no real bullets flying around.

What about an anti-scratch coating or some such.
On a side note, I shot some old JT lenses from about 50 ft with my Ruger 77/22. It went right through.
I was using Remington Hollowpoint .22.

Never had a problem with any of my Vforce lens scratching.

They may have some sort of anti-scratch coating, or maybe if it's a thermal the inside is polycarbonate. Any bulletproof lenses are probably just using bulletproofing as a selling point. Overall, I don't think bulletproof paintball lenses will ever come in handy in any real world situation. If someone's shooting at you with a real firearm, having bulletproof lenses on your paintball mask is probably not going to save your life.

It is to demonstrate the amount of force it can withstand, it's like a company designing building structures saying they can withstand F5 conditions. Most likely it will never happen that it encounters that.
